Muscle Milk??

What do you guys think of Muscle Milk for protein post-training. I luv the taste of it but the fat % is on the high side. Any one use the choc. or banana creme?
 
I've had the vanilla, and it tasted really good. I used it at bedtime though. I probably wouldn't use it post wo though because of the high fat content and the fact that it's a blended protein. It also has a lot of sugar, but from reading the ingredients, I can't tell where it's coming from. They have a ton of flavors that sound great, I may try it again after my competition for a night-time protein.
 
Muscle milk, is a casinate protein, which is absorbed slowly.

Right after your workout you want a quick absorbing protein, (whey). You also don't want any fat post workout either.
 
I used it for a year. All the flavors are great.
Bottom line. It made me fat. I did nothing differently. I went all the way up to 14% bf using the stuff. I dropped it and went to 100% whey and I dropped back down to the 8% range...

Mrs. Jnuts, I used it up until the week before my comp. I didn't use 2 scoops of it though. I used either 1 or 1-1/2 depending on my cal intake and my fat intake for the day. I wasn't too worried about the amt of fats being I was only taking in lean turkey and veggies on my low carb days.

In moderation I think its ok. I'd take in two shakes a day at most. Normally it was one shake of MM and one of MyoPro whey daily.
 
I had to quit using it as it was too good! and felt like I was starting to gain weight too fast, I'm to go back to whey only. I'm going send it to my hubby overseas :)
 
I've never had a problem with weight gain on it. I love most of the flavors. I use it to make my crappy protein taste good. A scoop of mm in blah shake makes it a lot easier to drink.

Though I switched to evopro now instead of muscle milk and I think the flavor is still tops though it's a different texture (and way less fat/cals/carb).
