Muscle Milk....all hype?

OK, so I wonder if any of you that have used this are able to share some information. I am looking to gain LMM and lose some BF. I most people say they like the taste, but there is a lot of fat in it. I know they say it is good fat and it actually helps to promote thermogenesis and utilize your fat stores, etc, etc. However, what they say and what is fact can sometimes differ. It has a ton of calories too, so is this supposed to be like a weight gainer or sorts or to help you lose BF and gain LMM or what exactly? I can gain muscle pretty easy with a decent diet and HARD workouts and whey. But the Muscle Milk SEEMS to have a potentially good product. What does the real world application show? Thanks for any help you are able to provide.

Muscle Milk is actually different from mass gainers/protein powders. It does have a lot of protein, which is about 50% of the serving size. Muscle milk also has casein which is slow release. It also has higher dose of amino acids and a basic multivitamin. Muscle Milk is also suppose to prevent storage of fat. So if you don't store the fat, you burn what you had in your body before, so that way you become leaner.

Thanks for your reply. So how does the 20 or so percent of fat per serving it has help you lose fat? Is it all based on omega 3 type stuff? Good fats that you don't turn into love handles? :D

WB-I wouldn't drink MM if you're trying to lose fat or if you gain fat easily.

Zac-It would be a good drink for breakfast, but not post-workout because of the MCT fats.

Well if it just had fat, it probably wouldn't be too detrimental, but it also has 6 grams of sugar and when you take into account that's for 32 grams of protein, so most people would probably need to double or triple the serving to get their protein in.

One thing you can do is mix it with a flavorless protein and still get a good flavor, with more protein and less fat and carbs. Or if you have optimum chocolate you could mix it with many of the flavors.

Muscle Milk is fantastic IF you are on a low carb diet. I've been drinking it twice a day for the last 2 months and my body fat has gone down! I think it is the best product out there. If you're trying to cut make sure you're using it with a low carb diet. I was worried about the fat/calories when I started, but I believe them now. the shit works.
