Muscle memory post cycle

Whats yours like? Assuming you lose some gains right after your cycle, do you find you can get close to your original gains during your cycle after you have recovered fully? You should get pretty close.
 
Muscle memory works better when you are not at or beyond your genetic max. Even if you shot way above you genetic max on a cycle, your muscles arent going to just 'remember' that and thus decide to increase your genetic max.

Ever notice how pro's have to stay on just to maintain?
 
Genetic max is a hard thing to set as a reference. You are right about pro's, no way could they keep that much muscle natural, they are above and beyond their max. Sometimes you need a little help to get to that max however. Even after 12 years of training, gains seem to come in cycles of short bursts. Very, very long intervals mind you.
