muscle memory and anabloism

The worst thing to do IMO is get on the juice soon as you get your shit straight and get back to working out....give your body some time to get back to working out and get used to it naturally...

thats true , its always a wise idea to get back to were u started first, any one got experiences to share?

who laid off gym for ages then came back started with a cycle? tell me ur story

Now I'm not saying this is the right thing to do, but it is what I did.

I worked out for a few years very hard in 2001-2003 before getting into a car accident and stopping. After that I lost all of my muscle mass and got pretty fat, I'd say 195 lbs with probably 25%+ body fat.

In november of last year I bought a bench and some dumbbells and an exercise bike. I went on a superb clean diet and dropped from 195 to 154 lbs by April. After dropping to 154 I continued to build a solid base with just a bench and a set of 40 lb dumbbells for another 3 months. I leaned out to what I would say was around 12-15% body fat while having a solid muscle base. I then started my FIRST cycle of test E at 500 mg/wk shot in 250 mg doses, and bumped my caloric intake up by 1500 calories a day.

I'm in my 8th week right now and I'm up to 176 lbs from the 154 I started at and my body fat appears to be about the same. In my mind the entire thing has been a HUGE success, and with my PCT plan and my diet I feel like I will keep all of my gains when I stop after week 11.

I look and feel f'ing fantastic.

I laid off for 3 years.
Worked out one month then started a cycle.

I never did any supplements or juice prior, muscle memory did kick in and so did the juice I look great right now compared to what i looked like in april.

I agree though once you pack fat on top of previously gained muscle it can be very tricky losing that fat without losing all that muscle too.

I had a 5 year lay off - still had the shape but no size what so ever. I started training natural for some months and it was crazy..the rate I was packing on good weight on was unbelieavable and a few personal trainers I know could not believe I wasn't using.

Muscle memory, I knew it was strong but didnt know just how powerful it is.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that.

What you really did is rob yourself of the opportunity to make great gains naturally. With a long lay-off the body is primed for growth. Add some serious supps to the equation and you could have gained as much muscle naturally. Instead, you got there a little faster but your body has leaned on a drug to do so. You will lose what you've gained and future gains will come harder.

Sorry. It had to be said.

No need to apologize, I knew full well what I was doing when I made the decision. Only time will tell whether I lose the gains or keep them.

Nelson, dont you think there is a percentage of peeps that will have genetics that will allow some to keep most gains ? Isnt it wrong to lump EVERYONE in the same group ? Depending on age a lay off may not have an advantage to the body if the natty test is low or the person is older or a hard gainer. Please elaborate. Thanks:)

IMO is biggest risk is connective tissue damage. Although I wouldnt advise saucing right off the bat as least:

#1- Dont be a hero and go heavy even though your mind wants you to be back @ your prime.

#2- incorporate an AAS that promotes collagen synthesis to keep your joints in check. Your skeletal muscles (especially when on gear) will come back incredibly quick in many cases ... but your tendons, ligaments, and cartilage takes considerably longer to condition. Things like anavar, eq, deca, GH, and arguably primo all substancially increase collagen synthesis so that you can condition your joints aswell.

As I said, the only real concern here is injury ... if you get off your ass, get on a cycle, and get back in shape, have a good pct and have a maintainable improved plateau afterwards and you didnt fuck a rotator, herniate a disk, or blow your ACL your laughing.

the reason being as im taking 2 months off gym, 1.5months left, im hoping it will shock my body into new growth, assuming diet is in check

question, will my old condition come back too, im not eating junk still eating very clean keeping the habit up, but looking little softer and less volumised obviusly

There are always variables. But there isn't that much difference in regard to what works better or worse.
