i went and did a boot camp cause a buddy of mine wanted to kick the shit out of me. he had us do 100 burpees to start and hammered away with wall squats.
at this time I was running 45 miles per week + weightlifting 3X per week, I was a triathlete and in top shape. after that workout my glutes and outer thighs were so sore it took a week for the soreness to go away. so the point is even though I had tremendous conditioning all around the body will react to something new.
