Muscle memory and AAS

Anyone ever been in a situation where they took a break from bodybuilding or got injured? I had surgery and had to miss 5 months of training. I'm getting ready to get back in the gym but I'm torn whether I should add AAS on day 1 to help speed up muscle memory and how much less I need to get back to my old self. I hear you don't need much to get back to your prime.

Anyone have any muscle memory experiences and how much juice was used to get back to your former glory?

You do not need juice to get what you lost during that time back. Trust me, you will get it back quickly without anything. Plus, since you are coming back after a surgery it would be best to do it natural at the beginning. You do not want to put that much more on faster and injure yourself. 5 months is not that long and with the right diet and hard training you will get it back in no time.

With that being said, of course adding juice would speed it up but why not ease yourself back into it. Get the gains you lost back and yourself into working out again. Once you are there then you can think about doing a cycle. Don't risk injuring yourself to get what you lost back that much faster when it already will come back quickly.

Just my opinion as I took some time off when I went to college and lost a lot of my gains. Contemplated going on something but the gains came back so fast it was almost as if I was already on juice.

build back your conditioning first, then introduce steroids... you are going to be sore for a little while so why spend half your cycle sore and tired?

it will take half as long as you were off to get back your conditioning is a non scientific rule of thumb, so give it 10 weeks then jump on roids. in the mean time run some non suppressive supplements. if you need suggestions PM me and I can help you out

Thanks, glad to hear it didn't take anything for you to regain steroid-induced muscle fiber. How big were you before/now?

I lost 40lbs so I have a hard time believing I'll get back to 225lbs (I'm 5'10) with no assistance. I am shredded now, however, due to how strictly I have dieted while I couldn't train.

I am on doctor prescribed TRT at 140mg and my heaviest blast was 700 prop, 700 tren, and 8iu gh.

What I would really like to do is be able to get back to where I was on a much lower dose, like say 500mg of test or something. I am not sure how possible that is. Maybe someone can offer more clarity.

I actually have been on a strict natural diet and have been doing cardio every morning (sometimes HIIT) so my conditioning is very good. I just haven't been able to hit the weights.

I think I will wait and just train on TRT at first until I stall. I don't want to have to take the kinds of doses I had in the past just to get it back though. I'm trying to use much less these days.

I'm glad you say this because muscle conditioning is very very different than cardio conditioning.

you will find that out when you start lifting again and wonder why you are sore.

you must build up your muscle conditioning and it will take many weeks for that to come back, you also will notice your strength is down bigtime.

Oh I see what you're saying. Yes I've decided to train on just my TRT dose for at least a month or until I plateau. I know I'll be very sore at first.

What I'd really like to know is if I can use less AAS than in the past to look the way I did on higher doses. What is your opinion on that?

you will never look the same ever once you peak, question is did you ever peak? if you are still under 35 the answer is probably no. with bodybuilders mid to late 30's is the peak.

in terms of strength hell yeah you can keep improving.. most of the strongest dudes in the gym are well into their 40's

Agreed Trying to do both now. I do both overhead squats with barbell and high reps holding up a medicine ball. I think that works better the walking on a readmill
