Muscle/joint rubs

Anyone know of a good rub on pain reliever? I am starting to experience some pain in my elbows after benching. Not unbearable just uncomfortable. Definitely not enough for me to go to doc. Just want something that will take the pain out a little. Thanks

bigokie,

I use neoprene elbow sleeves with icyhot rubbed on. I also take alfalfa tabs morning and night. My joint soreness has disappeared since I started taking it.

You can also use a hot towel on your elbows before and after working out, including any workouts that stress the elbows, such as squatting. I simply soak a towel, and then toss it in the microwave for a minute or so. Wrap it around my elbow, and it helps a lot. Cost effective as well.

I am a big fan of Nicoflex from Iron Mind. I only have sore joints about 5% of the time, and when I do, this stuff works great!

I use the same, Icy Hot before the elbow sleves. Some of my training partners use that too. Don't get your eyes/nose too close to that Icy Hot too early in the morning and NEVER get icy hot on your nuts! PAIN!!

Ice...and figure out why your elbows are being overly stressed.

Tigers Balm works very well, but B Fold is right, you should try and explore to figure out why your elbows are hurting you. Chances are that you have weak tendons in your elbow, it's kinda like getting shin splints. The weaker your tendons are the more stress your joint will feel. You may just need alot of rest, or you might want to think about re-evaluating your movements in the gym.
