Muscle glycogen stores?

How long should it take for you to use all your glycogen stores in your muscles?
I am trying to figure out when it would be best to do cardio but want to make sure that I have used all my glycogen first for optimum fat burning.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
Thanx!

ony two places in the body store glycogen...all your skeletal muscles and the liver. So your gonna need to burn thru both to hit the fat stores. The body doesn't really store that much...i think i read somewhere only 450mg. After a good weight session, it should all be gone!

So if I work whichever muscle I am working on to failure (usually about an hour and a half worth of weights), If I then do cardio I should be burning fat?

Postworkout cardio is good too. I trimmed down without the intention to...I was doing cardio so I have the aerobic capacity to do squats/deadlifts. Morning cardio would be good.

When I glycogen deplete, I do a full body workout 3 consecutive days with no carbs whatsoever. Below is an excerpt from an article that I ready by professor Francisco Castillo, it may help you get an idea.

"In normal conditions the skeletal muscle glycogen concentration ranges from 1.5 grams to 2 grams per 100 grams of skeletal muscle tissue. A Swedish researcher BERGSTROM (1969) has shown that after a low carbohydrate diet that lasts for a period of 3 days accompanied with prolonged physical exercises/efforts one's skeletal muscle glycogen depots fall to a concentration of about 0.6 grams"
