what makes a FIRM MUSCLE. what im getting at is. there is fat layered in muscle (if you have ever looked a a steak you can see some fat in thin lines) and is it when you dont have alot of this that makes it more dense and firm.

and if can you lose this fat.

i hope this makes sence to you but its hard for me to explain what im getting at
 
I think I understand what you mean.

The only time I ever lost this fat was when I dropped in the 5-7% (I usually sit around 8-11) area of BF after two weeks of being gone for nationals for fencing and getting 7 hours of cardio daily with very little food. And I gained it back as soon as I came back.

I don't know many people who don't have it, I think it's probably there for a reason.
