A friend of mine over 50 used to take this supplement after workouts to keep his muscles from hurting. He said it had something to do with electrolytes. Anyway he can't remember the name of it and since he started working out again would like to find it. Anyone know the name of this stuff. Thanks for your help!!!!

The gluco, msn etc. seems to be for joints.

it could be a mineral supplement with potassium in it,,,or homiopathic like arnica montana that could help with soreness, pain, and swelling

as MacDbol said, possibly arnica.
Arnica (Arnica montana)
Arnica is also commonly called leopard's bane. Arnica is a perennial that is protected in parts of Europe. The active components in arnica are sesquiterpene lactones, which are known to reduce inflammation and decrease pain. Other active principals are thymol (an essential oil), flavonoids, inulin, carotenoids and tannins.

Arnica works by stimulating the activity of white blood cells that perform much of the digestion of congested blood, and by dispersing trapped, disorganized fluids from bumped and bruised tissue, joints and muscles.

What is Arnica used for:
According to, "The Complete Guide to Homeopathy" by Lockie and Geddes, Arnica is
1. An excellent first aid remedy, for phyical and emotional shock and injuries.
2. Given internally it promotes healing of damaged tissues and helps control bleeding.
3. Good remedy for joint and muscle problems from either injuries or excessive exercise.

do a search and you'll probably find a variety of prices out there Im sure.

Star.... the most popular supp that I am aware of is the MSM...I take it now but it has not done much for me. here is some info on it.

It bonds with moisture, and when any dehydration occurs, the MSM goes with it. It can help with many things like control constipation, reduce allergic responses, relieve
stomach discomfort, control hyperacidity, reduce hangover symptons, and much, much more!

Like Glucosamine and Chondroitin, MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane), may provide raw materials the body needs in order to make cartilage in the first place. MSM is a
pure, organic, non-toxic, non-metallic element that occurs widely in nature. It's a metabolite of the compound dimethysulfoxide, and by weight is 34% elemental sulfur,
making it one of the richest sources of sulfur. As the eighth most abundant element in all living organisms, sulfur is found in more than 150 types of bodily compounds,
from enzymes and tissues to hormones and antioxidants. It's also a component of structural protein, the type found in hair, skin, and joints. Sulfur also occurs in
connective tissue, in a key structural component called collagen. (Collagen helps form cartilage). Researchers predict that MSM will soon be proven effective not only in
the treatment of various types of arthritis (including rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), but also in other conditions that involve connective tissue degeneration. (8)

Side effects: No side effects have been reported with the use of sulfur.

Recommended dosage: 1-2 grams per day.

I hope this helps.....:D
