I've just learn about this, maybe it will help you..

Vitamin D is important for maintaining strong and healthy bones and protects against the rickets and osteomalacia (softening of the bones in adults caused by inability to properly deposit calcium). People who do not receive direct sunlight for at least 45 minutes per week should make sure they are getting enough vitamin D through fortified milk and dairy products, or taking a vitamin D supplement like Calciferol, calcitrol, cholecalciferol, ergocalciferol or a multivitamin containing vitamin D.
The new research made by some specialists that vitamin D may be a powerful cancer preventive and most people should get more of it.

I use a neonatal vitamin -- its essentially a beefed up multi. Haven't had any issues w/ it but w/ the extreme dieting I've been following for competition prep I believe in any additional thing that will support my body.
