Mri

As a few of you guys know. I went for an MRI last Saturday. Here is the scoop.
A year ago this June I had an MRI on my left arm. I was told I had a strained bicep tendon. They put me on heavy anti-inflamatories and started me on PT.
All year my arm hurt. I could pick anything up with my left arm if my palm was facing in. That lasted for about 6 months.
I was working out with a radiologist a few weeks back and he said he would be interesting in seeing the MR. I got it over to him and his response was not great. He essentially said "stop working out. You have partial tear of you bicep tendon at the insertion point". He also told me to get off all AAS. That said I did. I cut my cycle off at about wk 7.
I went in Saturday. He showed me the original. Tons of fluid in and around the tendon. Small tear etc.
Hopped in the machine. No fun for those who have never had one.
We took a look at the MR and found that the tear had healed. The only problem was that I still have some water in the tendon. The pain I was experiencing was from scar tissue all over the tendon.
I was told I could go back to the gym. I just needed to be very cautious about my arm. I need to really warm it up etc. I also have some muscle atrophy too. I need to work on that.
All in all I am happy to be back.
One problem. I tweaked my back over the weekend. It kills to walk etc. Just another bump in the road!
Thanks to everyone who has been PMing me asking how I am doing.
Doing okay. Feel fat and skinny all at the same time. So I guess I'm back to normal!

Good to hear (except for your back). Follow docs advice and warm that sucker up real good. You can kind of tell if the wieghts are causing too much strain so ease into it. I'm sure you know this more than anybody. Glad you're back! Seriously though, take it easy, none of us wants to hear that you tore it again.

looks like your finally won some bets there uncleslat... haha
as i said before, hope all goes well.. and be ready to party hard this september!

What you need to do is start light and focus on form and do alot of negatives which will strengthen the connective tissue around the muscle. You want the connective tissue to be strong, it's your stability, your foundation.

Negatives are the key to muscle system stability.

Good to hear Bro just take it slow with your arm and back. I have 2 herniated Discs in my back and everything I do hurts. Good Luck

UPDATE: I can barely walk today. F'n back. I am going to see if I can get some anti-inflamatories. I hate them but I am in pain standing, sitting and laying down. This sucks!

Not sure what to recommend for your arm, but I take (2)600 mg tabs of Daypro for my back. It will start to help you after about 3 days. So ask your Doc if he can prescribe that for you. The one thing that I haven't done yet is tear my bicep tendon so I don't know what to recommend for that. Good LUck

Slat, how do you injure yourself so damn much?

AAS are supposed to strengthen the body, not detiorate it.
