i am su-prised!

after the bitch katrina did her dirty work here; i arrrived back into town to a house with no electricity or potable water for the few few days.

luckily, FEMA (or whatever alphabet soup agency) was handing out spring water, ice and MRE's not too far from my house.

after hearing my father complaining about K-rations, i thought mre's would be the same.....but found out differently. they are a little high in sugar content, but much better than dry cereal or peanut butter and no jelly sandwiches.

i ate mre's on the boat in the navy just because we had them. some were good but most sucked ass.... and your right they are high in sugar but thats the reason, for survival.

We used to trade the Marines coffee for their MRE's because of the long ass lunch chow line on the ship. Marines on ships have two jobs. Clean thier weapons and stand in chow line.

A couple buddies of mine decided to play a practical joke on some Marines. They posted a sign on a fan room, calling it the Ice Cream shoppe. put a post it not under it that said will be back in five minutes. Then they stood in front of the door. Soon they had a few marines behind them. They exited the line saying they had something to do. Came back half an hour later, there were 30 marines standing in front of a fan room waiting for the Ice Cream shoppe to open.

The best one was the frankfurters.....pour on some hot sauce and go to town, also the ham slice with the hot sauce.....my fave though was the chicken chow mein!

your a brave man,I always traded that shit off for something that was a sure shot,ham,frank and beans,fuck anything but chilli,mac and cheese or eggs and salsa.

cold eggs and salsa was by far the worst
