Ok, seriously now, I am getting sick and tired of hearing about Dennis James "amazing condition" and how he "kicked ass in the Olympia."

Please. Give me a break. Who did he beat? He didn't beat anyone. He got 4th place in a very weak 4th-15th lineup.

He didn't beat Flex. (Flex didn't enter)
He didn't beat Ruhl. (Ruhl didn't enter)
He didn't beat Ray. (Ray didn't enter)
He didn't beat Comier. (Chris didn't enter)
He didn't beat Levrone. (Kevin beat himself by having the injury and all - he shouldn't have been there)
He didn't beat Priest ( Lee basically threw himself in after dieting for 2 weeks it seemed. Again, Lee beat himself)

So who the fuck he beat? Gunter? So what? Who else? Mark my words, Dennis is going to be the next Nasser to wash up and fade away.



Ok... second topic..... Did Shawn Ray really donate $10K to the best poser in the Olympia? Who won? I didn't see that listed or talked about on the flexonline website.

And another thing... all that big talk by Lee Priest on how he was going to donate his prize money to the guys who placed under him and were out of the top 10... well, DUDE THERE WAS ONLY ONE OTHER GUY BELOW YOU!!! You were 14th. Hell, you had NO prize money except for what the sponsors donated at the last minute. How noble. Giving away something you never had in the first place. Next time, get yourself in shape. If this contest was your last one... you should have made it an awesome swan song to go out on... leave everyone clamoring for more.. instead, everyone is saying you should have quit last year.

AAP, what's the deal with these continued critiques of the pros, Dennis did well, a tricep injury from Levrone has nothing to do with his shitty condition, only one you mentioned that had a chance at giving DJ a run is CC and SR(who wasn't going to the O anyway). Almost 100% of the folks who do this critiquing could not hold a candle to any of these guys, this is there profession, no one is perfect or nails their condition every time, are you perfect in your profession(no), do you make mistakes in your profession(yes), if the answers were different you would own a fortune 500 company.

#1 As a fan of the sport, I am free to critize anyone I choose.

#2 In regards to Dennis James, I never critized HIM. For once, he pulled it together. I was speaking about the all the people who are harping on like he did something special. Which he clearly did not do. As history (in the case of Nassar) repeats itself, this is the same path Dennis is following.

#3 Levrone in shape would have been a no brainer for second place. Thing is, he probably just competed in hopes of earning an O invite next year without having to qualify with a top 3 placing in the early pro shows.

The Fortune 500 company analogy is the most retarded thing I have ever heard.....

As far as all of the critiques go...........let's see pictures of all the people who blast the pro's..............everyone has seen mine....I believe we have all seen AAP's......not too many people on this board have ever competed at a national level.......I have....have you? Anyway.....as a fan, and a fan that competed, and knows what takes to get to that level......I can say that DJ looked great.......will he be Mr. Olympia in 2004 as his moniker may suggest....(if in fact that is him)?? I doubt it.....I'll go out on a limb and say that until Ronnie's gut explodes, or he retires, no one is beating him. Would I like it this way, fuck no. I think he has a terrible look as of late, but he is undeniably the biggest mofo on stage......and aesthetic's don't seem to have much to do with anything anymore when judging National level competitions. Nasser faded away, because he lost his intensity, and he peaked too early......will the same happen to DJ?? Who knows......as far as all the Gunter bashing goes......I'd like to see anyone on this board over 6'2" fill in that much space better than he does.......

I mean, it wasn't like he beat anyone special.

In my opinion, the Mr O should have just been for the top 4. They should have let Ronnie, Jay, Dexter and Dennis come out there and entertain the hell out of the crowd. The 5th-15th should have been competing in the NOC as far as I could see.

I gotta admit, the lineup for the Mr.O this year was pretty lame.

I see the pics DJ posts from a few weeks out and he looks amazing.

Whenever I see him in the actual contest, he just seems so-so.

Very nice guy though. He must've had his laptop with him at the O, because he was posting right before and after the contest.
