who do you guys think are going to be in the top 6 this year. i'm going to say 1rst: coleman, 2nd cutler, and 3rd badell again. but i personally would like to see badell knock cutler into 3rd. not to sure on the other three?

I would like nothing better than to see Dennis James in the top 3. I'd like to see:

1. Jay
2. Ronnie
3. Dennis
4. Dexter
5. Gustavo
6. Gunter

damn! you know i can believe i forgot james. yeah. you got that right. i hear he's looking top of his game this year. i take that back. 1rst james, 2nd badell, 3rd coleman, and 4th cutler. lol lol lol! put me on the judging panel and see what would happen.

1ST: COLEMAN
2ND: CUTLER
3RD: JACKSON.....I'd like see Dexter win the whole thing but I doubt that will happen :Chef: :tuc:

yeah but i think the only thing that hurts dex is his back. i would like to see him in at least second but you know as well as i do that the big guys will always prevail. but i personally have it in for cutler. i don't the he deserves to be in the top 6. he's never cut or hard enough and his legs suck, and in a rear double bicep pose take a look at his lower back it always looks like the wrinkles on the back of my neck.

I don't believe Dexter is competing in the O this year, and Dennis James has yet to qualify if I've been reading things correctly..

now that ya'll mention it isn't dexter skiping this year to try and put on extra mass for next years comp. and i have not been up to date on the russian. don't know much about him.

Same here I think Dexter has the best physique in the sport today. He just doesn't have the crazy size to compete with Ronnie I don't think.

dexter isn't competing this year due to some business venture he's involved in. There's a article in MD this month about it.

I dont know how much more size dexter can put on that frame, he has a small frame and its absolutely packed full of mass. I think proportionally he is damn near as big as ronnie, he just has the smaller frame
That being said, a few more lbs on him would look incredible

u should use photoshop to add some mass to your right calf! looks like you;re standing on a bone. look sharp though, except the wannabe morpheus glasses

it's just me i guess but when i look at him and others like badell, dexter, james, etc. standing all together i just don't think he has any of the qualities that the others possess. now he's a big m.f. though but that doesn't mean shit in my book. take ruhl for instance, he is probably the nicest guy in the business. huge as hell but , certain details in his phys. keep him back. that is where i think cutler should be. he just doesn't have the qualities that the other guys have that keep placing 2 or 3 spots behind him. sorry cutler fans :worried:

Thanks, its just the shot, they dont look quite so bad in the other pics I took.
and the glasses make me cool, or at least my wife tells me so

Dexter is not competing, says he's got some bizness things going on, I guess I'd be pissed too if Ronnie beat me in the Ab and Thigh round last year. But I wouldn't quit on my fans either..
DT's right...I would love to see Dennis James qualify at either the Europa Show or Charlotte Pro and come in razor tight. He could def crack top 3, and bump Jay down to where he belongs. My sleeper right now....Victor Martinez, great balance btwn size and symmetry...his conditioning is in question, but we'll see..

1 dexter
2 cutler
3 james
4 coleman
5 cormier
6 gustavo
that would be nice but we all know that the southern monster hick coleman will wipe his ass w/ everyone.

1. Coleman
2. Cutler
3. Badell
4. James
5. Ruhl
6. Gunter
7. Cormier
8. Martinez
9. Dim
Hopefully my 2 favorites Jones and Johnnie Jackson place close to the next few, Fedorov somewhere in their too.

i'd have to say that's what will happen. right on the money.

Agreed. If the IFBB really stuck to the mandate Cormier would have a legit shot at winning, great structure and tight waist.

I was surfing around the net today and I saw a pic that I couldn't believe. It was from the '99 Mr. O. It had Cormier, Coleman in the middle, and Wheeler right next to him. It was the symmetry first call out. Coleman has never looked better IMO. Incredibly small waist, wide shoulders and back, with a tight midsection. No bloating and no dissention. From that pic I would have scored it Coleman first, Cormier second, and Wheeler third. I'll try to find the pic. You guys that just started following the sport won't believe how great Coleman looked. I even forgot since then. I'd love to look like that, but not like he looks now.

I was at MSG when he won his first in '98. He looked great. You would want to look like him back then, but not now.

Yeah he was great in 98, 99, and 2000. Great V taper, very small waist, and broad shoulders and back. That's what I call a bodybuilder.

THat's why I like the guys like Mark Dugdale, Phil Heath, Hadier. They have great shape and they don't have aliens living in thier bellies.

I never noticed a big gut on Badell. I think they should have categories for the O, including biggest. This way the true guys with the best OVRALL physiques like Jackson (even though not competing), James, Priest, Badell, or Cormier would have the shot they deserve at winning. You know, I always here guys talkign about no one can rouch guys like Ruhl or Coleman when it comes to size, how they're freaks. Well I always ask the same question, if you could choose to have one physique that a top pro has, whose would you choose? I doubt I'd here Ronnie's or Ruhl's name too often at all then.

all in all. i think everyone will be surprised with the spots in which james and badell will place. if dex does compete this year i believe it will be a battle for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th between these three. but we know they'll put jays flat ass in second.

True. I would pick Ronnie from 98/99. Now I would pick Dexter, Cormier, or Haidar.

Kovacs seems to have it goin on nowadays!!!

sorry but ronnie is an overgrown, blown up beef machine...
huge.. yes!
#1.. totally not!!!!

dexter looks 10x better!
but gustavo or jay would win first if i were the judge.

Cutler should have one last yr and it will be the same this yr...

cutler will be in better shape and colmen will still win

dose any one else belive or suspect that its rigged to give the bbs under weider

contracts the edge.????

Coleman is going to win as long as he competes, I would personally like to see Markus Ruhl and Federov beat Cutler

ruhl is huge, but lacks proportion.
federov... MAYBE can get close to cutler but wont defeat him now or ever!

Right. Ruhl doesn't have the proportion and Fedorov has some glaring weak bodyparts. Fedorov is young and has great potential. If he brings up those bodyparts he'll be a threat to the title.

Do to the system Coleman will win. I would be shocked if he didn't. He is a great champion but he has been beaten a few times and was still crowned the champion.
Cutler should be there.
I have a feeling someone is going to be sacrificed. I think it will be Cutler instead of Coleman.
Cormier is coming in hard. He is the wild card. He could take this whole thing if he comes in dry.
Lee Priest has been on the money lately too.
Badell's ego is going to catch up with him. I don't see a top 5 for him.
I think Marcus will surprise some people. He has been dialing it in more and more each year.
Not sure about Dennis James.
Gunter will get his usual gift... just not one as big as Federov's!

I met Gustavo at the Arnold and he really didn't come off as egotisitical at all. He was actually really cool, very easy going, and talking with everyone.

I think the best way to shake up the sport would be having Cormier win it. He's got everything that they're looking for according to their statement. Small waist, wide shoulders, proportion. I really like Cormier. If he comes in like he did at the Arnold, it will be interesting.

I agree. It would not be a gift either, as long as he is in shape. I would rather look like Chris than Ronnie or Jay.

Until they actually change the standards around the huge bellies, coleman will and should keep winning it. Look at it realistically, he is not only the biggest by far, but he has great symmetry as well, yes his gut is huge, but it is actually in proportion to the rest of his massive physique.
I cant wait till they change the standards though, because not only do I prefer someone like dexter, who is still ungodly huge, but it would likely make it a slightly safer sport as gh use would have to drop

I heard they were supposed to go in that direction, but dont know if its actually in the rules yet

Agree. But bro i think that even if say dexter wins it, for a few years, there will always be guys that will go there bigger and bigger, and all it will take is for someone to come with a massive physique (bigger than ronnies and ruhls) and take it. maybe that guy will have amazing genetics and not have a distended gut while still being massive, but thats all it will take for the freaks to start dominating the sport again.

They've got Ronnie fixed as the winner for a decade if you ask me. Till then GH guts will not hinder any placings.

Very well put from a guy who actually competes!

I totally agree! If Cormier comes in at his best and wins I don't think anyone would complain. He has a blend of mass and proportions without a thick waist (Cutler) or a huge gut (Coleman). He is an awesome bb'er.

Well Ronnie wasn't with Weider when he won last year. So there's your answer.

Cutler will never ever ever beat Ronnie. Not with that flat back and saggy glutes.

Hell, Cutler has lost legitimately to Dexter at the SOS. And then the last two years he did the ASC, he didn't deserve to win.

Coleman
Cormier
Cutler
Badell
Ruhl
Priest
Gunter
Alex Fed.
Anthony
Jackson

thank you, finally someone sees the samething that i do. i totally agree. but you don't think james will be anywhere in the top ten?

I didn't place him because right now, he hasn't qualified. If he does, I will add him in accordingly. I would add him as tied with Gunter and one place ahead of Vic M. Thing about James is he looks the best 3 days before a contest and then when he steps onstage, he has already started to lose the conditioning.

i'm curious about all the talk on cormier placing so high. is everone else seeing recent pics of him. if so, put them on the picture forum. please. :)

Chris has a great structure, and if they go by the mandate and he is in shape he should make top three.

Chris is a freak. He obviously isn't as big as Ronnie, but he has genetics that Ronnie doesn't. I have been backstage with both guys (they guest posed at state shows I was competing in) and Ronnie is incredibly massive, but Chris looks almost bumpy everywhere. His muscle separation and roundness is freakin' ridiculous. I would love to see him win the O. He never will, but it would be nice.

Chris can place in the top 3 easily of the Mr O, but he will never win it. If Chris was smart, he would just do the O in order to get his name rep built up and then start killing the field in the contests Ronnie doesn't enter. The ASC, the Euro tour (if they even have that again) and any contest that pays over 50K.

i agree with ya'll on chris' structure and mass, but the last "o" and "arnold" he just looks so flat and not as hard as he should be.

bigtravis said:

At the last O he was off, but at the Arnold he was on.
