Mouth Swab tests effective for test detection?

I am planning to enter a local strongman (boxing) contest, but I just heard that they administer a mouth swab test for detection of gear. I was wondering if this is true or just BS the club uses to deter people on cycles from entering. I would appreciate any information anyone has on mouth swab testing.

I have heard about it. But do not know how accurate it would be. If you hear anything about it let us know.

I know that it is not approved by any sanctioned sports, as a method for testing.
