is washed up. They were just on some show on Spike tv as part of their "big come back". They played Girls, Girls, Girls to relate to the older generation and brought Snoop Dogg out so they could appeal to the younger generation.

Weird........isnt' that like selling out?

I never thought Vince Neil would do something like that......never thought Snoop would do it either.....

Actually...

The local high school near my drummer's house is always full of kids walking home wearing crue, dokken and slayer shirts. Apparently 80s metal is all the rage now in high schools from kids rebelling against justin timeberlake, eminem bullshit.

It's kinda funny cuz many of my friends now won't even admit they listened to Def Leppard in the 80s and are act liek they've listend to death metal all their lives. But 16 y/o spikey-haired kids have no problems wearing motorhead t-shirts and watching headbanger balls vids. Go figure.

Can't blame 'em. Today's music is embarassing. Everything's already been rebelled and done. No one's breaking any new ground.

Nah.......in high school I was wearing KMFDM and <PIG> shirts......and almost nobody did that.......so you can't really say I didn't break new ground.

Industrial was always underground and fringe at best.......unlike metal, grunge or rock.

Adding more to this:

When i was in my alice cooper tribute band -- the BIGGEST audience we had, was playing one night in phoenix to almost 800-1000 16-23 y/o screamin' kids. We were shocked so many came, knew the songs and were eating it up. To really rock the place, we ended with Thunderkiss 65. I swear they were gonna jump up on stage any second.

Shocked us, cuz our usual weekend audience at most of our gigs are 30-70 typical drunk old farts who couldn't show enthusiasm if it was sitting on their heads. I think we all can visualize the mental picture.

I live in Phoenix.....this doesn't suprise me one bit. From living here 15 years it is the most vanilla, bland, boring, sheep-mentality city you could be. Most of the people that live here aren't from here and I wish they'd move back. The only people that bring some vibrance are from Cali, we need more of them.

Also, Alice Cooper lives here, so that's another reason why you had the turnout.

Yet you've only heard 0,0386% of all music published in this year.

Sounds like your music career is really taking off.
