I want to get an accurate test done for my bodyfat. Should I go to my doctor and ask for a bodyfat test? I need an accurate result. What do you recommend?
Go to the Bodpod website and find the university listed there that is closest to you. The Bodpod uses air displacement to mesure bf. Also a hydrostatic submersion is excellent. Again probably a university health center is the best place to find this test. This test uses water displacement.
Then there is the ordinary skin caliper test that can be done at basically any gym. Best results are from a person who is trained and experienced with taking mesures and also checks your skin fold in a least 6 different places.
Most all universities will have a water displacement test. Just go to your closest one, or call them if the drive is much. If not many gyms even have this, and it is a very good test.
