Are there "any" mp3 "sharing" software out there?

All of a sudden my ole' faithful Morpheus won't let me download about 80% of mp3's they list.

I used to be able to download "anything"

Is there anything else out there? (winmx used to be a fav too, but not anymore)

Any help would be much appreciated

i have heard from more than one person that the crackdown on that shit has gotten rather serious... this coming from someone that has damn near every piece of software ever made because of programs like e-mule

anyway... he directed me to a russian site... www.gomusic.ru most of the songs are 15cents and the quality is perfect. I put $20 on the site and I havent went through it yet. THe issue there is there are some things they just dont have. I looked up an old song the other night "charlie brown" by the coasters ( i think) and it wasnt on there... but ANY new stuff and tons of genres are on there.

I am more than happy to pay a small price for music like that... plus the quality on limewire has gone to shit in the last couple years

a friend of mine got a letter in the mail from some gov't branch
threatening legal matters if he didn't quit downloading
so they are out there
a complete waste of tax payers money
and i hate the analogy "would you steal from a store? it's the same thing"

It is bullshit... at some point (rather soon after the record or material is released) the variable cost of production of that record, distribution etc, is ZERO. It is completely unlike an actual good that has a value in each instance it is sold.

It is just like a cell phone... the variable cost of the service offered to one additional user is zero.

now if you are selling bootlegs i could def see why that should be illegal
but it's not illegal to videorecord a television program or record songs of the radio
that's how i liken it
the cd manufactures are getting a dose of red karma for all the yrs they hosed the consumer/artist by charging $20 a pop.
those days are over...people don't consider cd's when acquring new music

That's interesting, I'm not having any trouble with it at all. In fact I just DL about 10 tracks in under a minute.
