A law to punish businesses that hire illegal immigrants is unacceptable, a group of Hispanic advocates told the Madison County Commission on Friday.
They also resent illegal immigrants being summarily characterized as criminals, they said.
Commissioner Morris Brooks, who has pushed for a new law aimed at businesses the hire illegals, said if people are in this country illegally, they are breaking the law and are criminals.

In fact, any & all acts of defense we use against this illegal invading foreign army is construed as racism by these hispanic groups & our "leaders" agree with them. We can't. Our foundation was set up as a melting pot. Curbing illegal immigrants would help but so would restricting the outsourcing of jobs to foreign countries.

Latinos are going to get a lot of legislative leeway because they are becoming "the new blacks". They are a growing population and just becoming politically active. Many politicos think that they, like blacks, will vote largely in blocks (i.e. the vast majority of blacks vote democratic). Therefore, both parties are courting them.

Assimilating other races is a big part of what made America what it is IMO. We thrive off the genetic diversity, but the catch is that it can take 50-100 years for that diversity to pay off. It's truly a long-term investment.

I thought the US was hardcore ? Damn Canada is a lot worse for illegals. If they get caught, they're sent back, no matter their medical condition or what might happen in their country. Employers hiring illegals can face serious criminal charges and fines which will usually ruin them.
