question #1:

alright, so i did a little bit of lifting today, and i noticed that when i lift with my left arm (the bicep whose progress i am concerned about) i feel the lower outside of the arm getting the focus, and a also of that line muscle (i dont know the name but it goes from the bottom of the top half dimpling around the elbow to the top of the bottom half). in fact, i didnt feel it AT ALL in my bicep, and i had to give up from feeling it there:confused:

i then rotated my hand totaly around so the palm was facing out, thinking maybe i was accidentally working my forearm, but i felt it in the SAME PLACE and it pissed me off MEGA:mad:

question #2

The next is about triceps. i know it is made out of three different ones because of tri, but my anatomy of the muscles is horrible. are there separate ways of targetting the different parts? for instance, would holding aweight slightly differently than a particular exersise demands strength the "wrong" part of the tricep?

The reason im asking, is because the left line part that goes from around the shoulder down to the elbow is bigger than the right arm, except the back part of it (the part you normally see when looking at someone's back) is bigger on my right than left....

We don't understand your questions.

You don't need to try to work certain parts of the triceps and biceps. Just hit heavy close grip benches and barbell curls and your arms will get bigger.

alright, thanks for the help with the 2nd part.

as for the first part, it basically says that when i do bicep curls with my left arm, i dont really feel it on my bicep, but more on the muscle that goes around the side of the elbow.

I think there is confusion with your wording of "the muscle that goes around your elbow"

Maybe you are lifting too heavy, and your form is off. I don't know how long you have been training, but form is EVERYTHING, and you should concentrate on getting that right before you bump up in weight.

Where in MD are you? I live in Delaware, and would be more than happy to arrange something where we could train together for a day or so, and show me your problem.

That happens to me sometimes when I do db curls. Basically, I can feel a big stretch in my tricep at the bottom of the movement if my tricep is already beat from closegrips or something. Never caused me any problem even though it can be uncomfortable, and my biceps still get worked fine.

alright, thanks for the help.

MnFguy49- thatd be sweet, EXCEPT my parents would never let me...yeah im very new to this, and young too:(
