Morbidly obese seeking help

Hi Chillin,

Yes I do tend to eat whole foods... I eat a lot of lean chicken/lamb/beef, eggs, almond nuts, spinach, zucchini, broccoli etc..

In fact I'm eating a lot healthier now then I used to.. I understand the limitations of a low carb diet, so also take multivitamins and I drink about 2 ltrs a day of water. I NEVER used to drink water... I'm sure I had cola running through my veins, as that's all I ever drank.

Pretty much the only thing I really don't like is that I don't get to eat much fruit.. because I loooooove fruit.

I'm not going to be on this low carbo diet for ever... once I get to about 20% fat I want to ease into the Zone.

Loosing 3-4 lbs a week is healthy progress.

Just keep up the good work, all things take time.

I think the whole food comment was directed towards the protien shakes. Which IMO real food is better.
 
Ohh... sorry if I misunderstood you Chillin..

As for the Protein shakes, I've actually changed that a bit... I used to have a trimming shake that had about 16gm protein and 4gm of carbo.. but I noticed it contained fructose, so I've swapped to the same one my brother uses.. It contains 33gm of protein, and 2 gm of carbo, but I now only have one of those a day. My brother's also contained a lot of amino acids that mine didn't seem to have listed.

When I used to have my shake, it would take the edge of any hunger.. but when I have my brother's..damn do I feel full.
