I realized recently...that Ben Stiller had developed the Derek Zoolander character years before the movie Zoolander came out.

There is a movie called "Heavyweights" form the early 90's about kids at a fat camp. Ben Stiller played a camp counselor which was clearly where the Derek Zoolander chracter was created. Its worth checking out if you like Zoolander

I agree Ben stiller is much funnier than he is given credit for. From directing Cable guy and Zoolander to his Short lived television show , part in Royal Tenenbums, Meet the parents...he has been solid in my opinion.

I am looking forward to the "Tencious D" movie he is producing as well as his role as Starsky in Starsky and Hutch 2004.

i saw heavy weights when i was younger and thort stiller was very funny but at the time i didnt know who he was.owen wilson and stiller is a wicked combination.cable guy was ridicoulusly funny and stiller didnt get enough credit for it.

Yea bro! Thats awesome you had a chance to see them in concert, I saw them in Phx last year on the self titled album tour, they put on a great show. Id happily see them next time.


dude I have seen the DVD, if you havent, you need to get in your volvo and drive to your nearest media centre and buy Tenacious D:The Complete Master Works without hesitation.

Its awesome, has some twisted stuff man on it, along with the Original HBO Episodes that started it all, those were Hilarious, Ive weanted those episodes since I originally saw them years ago.
