Mod's & Vet's are any of you NSCA cert??

hey DYSTER! Which test, cscs or cpt? I've got the cscs in august too. Where are you going? I'm heading to Toronto.

I have the book, and the exercise checklist manuals. Don't think you need much more. Best of luck to you.

Freak...
CSCS....Taking it in Indianapolis, August 4th. Good luck to you also, bro! I got the study package, was like $150 for members.

i just graduated with a ba in exercise physiology and im gonna take the test the next time around. is it worth it to get the study material? do they give you a sample test?

No sample test...just some sample q's. The book is good. Shit load of material. Audio tapes suck!! The dudes voice puts me to sleep.

I took it because they let any doctor take it without a undergrad exercise science etc...degree.
I just read through (more like skimmed) the book 1 week before the test and smoked it. The book was very helpful on things like gym dimensions and things like that of which I had no clue about.

Good luck guys...you'll do just fine.

BTW - am I considered a "vet?" :)

what do you have to do before taking the test? how much time does it take to get to test taking level?

As far as study time? Or to qualify to even take the test?

To even take the CSCS test you need an undergrad degree in exercise physio, kinesiology, or corporate fitness...something along those lines or like I said, be an M.D. or D.C.

im taking the nsca in sept, here in long beach. i was gonna go to the symposium but i think ill just get some study materials and save myself about $325. hehe. the sample test questions on the website was a joke. i preferred the questions on the cscs sample test. more of a challenge.

when i graduate in about 10000000 years with my kinesiology degree, ill take cscs.
