In the spirit of the new M&F-esque banner redesign, could we clean up the training forum stickies a bit? THAT SHIT is almost never KILLED or shot anymore, and a good set of resources would help new members get up to speed more quickly and without starting a lot of redundant threads.

Expanding/updating the stuff that's in the Info Vault into individual stickies (say, one each for programs, descriptions/videos, and grip/GPP), and maybe adding a "Best of the Training Forum" list of threads, might an improvement on what we have now. I'd also be a fan of a First Law of Thermodynamics sticky, or anything else that would get across the point that weight gain won't happen without caloric excess.

I hate to step of other people's toes....

So if anyone has threads that they found helpful - post them up and if you have an opinion as to which threads are old and weak - post that up too.

If possible some can be merged or we can just have the Best Of as Cynical suggested.

the whole idea behind the training vault was that, back in the day, the first 6+ threads were stickies. That sorta causes clutter.

I get what you're saying though. i want to help but i'd also appreciate you suggesting some threads and the like or even organization

Sure, I wasn't meaning to suggest that this was solely a job for the mods. I just wanted to make sure there was some willingness/interest before starting to put something together.

Guinness's "critique my squat" thread might be a "Best of" for the discussion of technique and the difference between Oly and power squatting. All of the videos he's posted would be good additions to the exercise guide section. A lot of the threads Glenn Pendlay was involved in a few months ago when he was posting might also be good inclusions. These are just a few off the top of my head; hopefully others will chime in with threads and sites they've found particularly useful.

When was Glenn Pendlay posting? Maybe before my time, but I'd like to read some of those threads. I really like the idea of a technique thread describing all the major lifts.
