mods or admin very urgent important karma question

apparently yesterday a change was made to the board which requires 6 characters to enter a post
ok so heres my delima
on occasion i will give out what is known as karma for an outstanding post that i will read on these boards
now my concern is do i have to leave a message with at least 6 characters for it to go through or not?
also if someone were to give me this karma stuff would i recieve credit for it if they didnt leave me a message?
thank you for your swift replies to this thread and once again thank you for the time you spend on this board doing such a fantastic job
(on a side note if you are to experiment on me mods or mr digger please do not give me red karma in order to find out if this works or not)
