i changed my name the other day now there are two handles for brucey, one is under bruce410 still. the only one i can log into is this one and it will not except any pms at all, they are all going to the other handle i assume. i can't see avi's either. i am going to have to drop my plat and make up a whole new handle if this doesn't get fixed. please help

some how you have 2 brucey accounts both are plat 1 has a 2001 join date and the account that really is your account is a 2005 join date.http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/member.php?u=85850 so this is what you need to do....change the name on the 2001 join date brucey to soma thing other then brucey......then log out then log back in under brucey if you dont know the pass word just ask for it and it will send it to you in a email.....

the problem you are having right now is you have to brucey accounts and when you request for the password on brucey it gives you the one for the 2001 join date and note the 2005....get rid of the 2001 poster or change its name to fuckstick or some thing.then when you request for the password to brucey it will give you the 2005 brucey.

the problem happens when you change your name to the name of a old poster.then you get double accounts and things all go to shit.

Bro, if you change your name to a name that already exists in the EF database, your karma and PM's will not carry over. If that happens, I believe that only the administrator can remedy the situation. DO NOT keep changing your name and messing with stuff... it only makes the admin's job more difficult and decreases the likelihood of getting things fixed quickly.

If you're having a problem, DO NOT make a post on chat or anywhere else here -- that's NOT how things get fixed, and the admins don't like members to handle the situation in this manner -- there's already established procedures for members to get account fixes. PM an administrator, ask a moderator, file a support ticke... and be patient. At the bottom of the main forum page you'll see this: EliteFitness.com Bodybuilding Forums Statistics: Members: 140,615. Take a wild guess how fun that is for the admin going into the database and doing this for people, lol.

For anyone thinking of changing their name, I strongly suggest doing a Platinum search for the new username you want in order to make sure that it doesn't already exist. This appears to be the biggest problem with the name change feature. Also, MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS VALID AND CURRENT!
