MKD Question for MR X

I read your post and find the science very valid, and I also Like insulin, call me strange Anyways here are some questions for you.

1. During the diet, do I do insulin everyday after the 2 days getting into keto? Or Do I run the slin 5 days a week, with 2 days off of it.
2. I have Humalog since it is quicker I assume I can use that with no problems? I know how I react and everything.
3. My protein has like 1 gram of carb, and .5 grams of fat so 3 scoops would give me 66grams of protein 3 carbs, and 1.5 grams of fat I assume that wouldnt really matter?

4. I also assume calories are at around 10-12 Per gram of bodyweight?

What are the new ratious for protein and fats on this diet, or it just the same except for the huge protein meal in the morning?

Humalog is fine, but you would need to lower Ketonic doses down to maybe 0.5 I.U's a times, just to be safe

calories are at weight x 12

protein/fats, well same as the CKD manual but you would need to situate NO fats 3 hours before and 3 hrs after the insulin (even if you use short acting insulin). Everything is basically the same besides the protein meal.

I hate it I consider my self a smart guy and I cant figure this statement out.

Is it .5 grams of protein per IU, that wouldnt make sense to me, or maybe less slin when I use it.

Let me clear it up...

EX: if you use 5 g protein per 1 I.U. of insulin (usually)
NOW, you will use 5g protein per 0.5 I.U's...

Theoretically of course. I always recommend lowering dosage w/ a faster acting insulin.

One Last question

Ok, Im gather all my info so I can start this, im going to go keto all weekend, and use the MKD M-F. My question is, I use the slin M-F, then I assume I do the carb load, or do I just keep going on being keto? Can I just load carbs for 1 day, alot of oats, beans, potatos? Also since im using slin, can I use glucophase to help with insulin sensetivity, and put more carbs in my muscles?


Also can I get some more help on some good Keto Foods.

I love eggs, steaks, I use alot of olive oil in my protein drinks, or for cooking. I guess sausage would be good, maybe some flax,

Im about 6'2 225 probally 10-12% bodyfat trying to be 220 at 6% bodyfat , probally wont happen But im gonna try.

No, keep the carb-up off, until a few weeks. You need to get your body used to the insulin system. But, if you wish to carb up, you can do a low-gi carb up for 1 whole day (sunday). If you're using slin, you have to pick either slin or glucophage, one or the other.

Ketos foods: Cheeses, eggs, steaks, chicken, turkey, bacon, heavy cream, pork, lamb, MEAT!

Don't go into this having a negative attitude that things won't happen, because if you do, the wont.
