Mixing Yohimbine HCL (NYC) with an SSRI?

I posted this over on the diet board, wanted to see some opinions here. I use the NYC supplement from Anabolic Fitness but also take Paxil. When I bought it, I did not know that Yohimbine HCL acts as a MAOI Inhibitor, as I was told by some others. With an SSRI, (paxil, celexa, etc..) you CANNOT mix the two. I saw no warnings about this when I bought it, I do like the supplement but I don't know if they interfere. Anybody doing this combo? I cannot use ephedra products and the non-ephedra one's dont work. Can somebody imput on this? Thanks!!!

Well, now I´m curious, because to my knowledge Yohimbine is an alpha 2 adrenergic antagonist, and that would be ok to take with an SSRI...
Now, who told you Yohimbine is an MAO inhibitor?Based on what???
St. Jonh´s worth is supposed to have it´s effect via MAO inhibition...But not yohimbine.

I believe it is very short-lived as an MAO inhibitor... and since so many AS users are on SSRI's and many AS users have at least tried Yohimburn, and I have never heard of anyone having problems with the two, I have to think that it won't make you drop dead.

Though, it's certainly worth looking into further beofre you slather that shit on after popping a paxil.
