minimizing damage of low HDL ANAVAR cycles

Var kills HDL like nothing else.

my thinking is that as long as I'm taking the var during a cutting cycle where I'll have a low fat (good fat) low glycemic diet, i'm not doing too much damage since during the period where my HDL will be trashed, there will be no raw material (bad fats) & no help from insulin to create plaque.

after the cycle and hdl recovery, bulking cycles done with estrogenic stuff won't harm the arteries much.

opinions?

I did an extended test cycle once using a daily dose of Femera. During the cycle, I had my cholesterol tested. My HDL was 15mg/dl (extremely low). My doctor put me on Lipotor. Fixed me right up. I've never done VAR so I can't comment on that. My situation just shows how important estrogen levels are in keeping cholesterol levels normal.

PumpNPose sells a liquid form of atorvastin (lipotor).

Try taking niacin. It's one of the few supplements that is known to raise HDL as opposed to just lowering LDL. Take it right before you go to bed so any flushing you get will happen while you're asleep.

I think the problem with using a statin or high-dose naicin is that they can stress they liver. By themselves, few people experience liver problems but if you are also using orals like anavar the stress will be additive. Now this may or may not be a issue but I am just bringong it up.

One of the issues with using non-aromatizing drugs is that natural testosterone is decreased resulting in a decrease in estrogen. The decrease in estrogen is at least partially responsible for the skewed lipid numbers. So one way to counteract is to add a token dose of testosterone or do weekly injections of HCG.

You may also want to look at Policosanol. It is a OTC drug and seems to be effective at reducing total cholestrol and raising HDL to some extent. I don't think it stresses the liver.

i think i remember reading that only the regular niacin is liver toxic. the nonflush niacin (inositol hexanicotinate) supposedly was liver friendly (but search it out).

I looked up inositol hexanicotinate and liver enzymes and found that it does recommend that liver values are checked even when using this form of niacin.

Two more cholesterol lower supplements are guggals and curcumin. Curcumin is an effective anti-oxidant and has anti-cancer potential. In some studies mentioned, guggals produced a 60% increase in HDL in those that responded. I don't think either one of them is very expensive.

is it a bad idea to take guggul during a var cycle and then continuing during pct? My reasoning is maybe it could potentially prevent some of my HDL from being killed, and at the same time help to prevent acne because unfortunately I am prone without gear so I get very oily skin on var?

Var trashed my HDL and raised my LDL even though I was using Policosanols and lots of fish oils during cycle.
