Milk Thistle or Tyler's Liver detox?

You'd make a good republican pundit. You change my words and then hand them back all scrabbled so you can argue something that wasn't said in the first place.

I never said there is no research on supplements. I said no one does human trial research on their own supplements simply to prove their effectiveness. You should paid better attention. There are over a hundred studies on the supplement we were arguing about. Most the time supplement studies are very weak because they are poorly funded.

Yes you're wrong in your observation. I am posting a study and I am showing a review of studies that were done using MT. The review says that after going over all the weak studies on MT that when "evaluating relevant health outcomes associated with these properties are lacking" So my standard is pretty much the same. There are studies but they don't show much.

Okay, yes, I misunderstood you the first time I guess. Thanks for explaining your point.

I just don't buy all the BS over this. It's sounds way to hand wavy for me. If there is a patent on Tylers then where is the list of ingredients? I read the sales pitch on the AF store site and it sounded like a bunch of crap to me. Here are some of the examples of what I'm talking about:

"Tyler, a leader in the development of gastrointestinal & metabolic support products."

I did a google search on Tyler supplement and found nothing!! For a comparison I did Twinlab supplement and came up with over three million hits. No hits on google sure doesn't look like a leader to me.

"Detoxification Factors supplies the nutritional precursors & co-factors essential for both Phase I & Phase II liver detoxification pathways."

What a bunch of BS!!! There is no such thing as a "detoxification pathway" in the liver. This is a bunch of hand wavy bull shit made up to impress the neophyte.

The only thing I see that might have any value is it says it contains glutathione. This is an antioxidant that is used by the liver in bile production. But it doesn't say what form it is in or what amount.

I put this stuff in the same category as cell tech and all the other "GET RICH QUICK" supplements on the market. Maybe I'm wrong and this is the greatest stuff every but I'm seldom wrong in this area.

If it's such a great thing how come the ingredients are not shown before you buy??????? It's a pig in a poke boys and girls don't waste your money.

Well when you write up the ledger, this will go on the "I was wrong" side.

The ingredients for Tyler have been posted here on Elite no less then 6 times.
You compare it to Muscle Tech. That's pretty funny. This product is not advertised. It is ONLY sold by doctors to their patients. While MTech spends $.30 of every dollar on advertising junk.
If Tyler was "get rich quick" scheme they'd follow the MTech business model. Not distribute a product solely through medical practitioners whose JOB IT IS to care for their patients. Yes I'd say you have this completely wrong.

The patented ingredient in Tyler is Glucarate. Here is a link to the patent. Why don't you read it and tell me where Ohio State made unfounded claims.

You obviously have NOT tried it before. Tell you what, why don't you do a cycle HARD with orals and what not and use your wallmart milk thistle. Go get a blood test to check liver enzymes. Once you get the bad news from your HMO promptly continue with your orals eating them like candy for months just to see if you can still beat this with milk thistle. You should have liver failure soon thereafter. We'll know when you stop posting.

Use Milk Thistle, with Vit.B-6, corner drug store, and it will do the trick. All these drug companies want to sell you something, man.

I guess this is what made you a believer???? You did a heavy cycle of all orals, brain dead to say the lest, then your liver had holes in it. You stopped taking the orals and all AAS and started taking this stuff. Your liver test improved and you think it was because of Tylers??? Hey maybe your liver just got better on it's own because you stopped putting poison in your mouth.

About a year ago I was invited to attend a seminar on hepatitis. This seminar was three days long and covered new drugs, herbal formulas and treatments for treating the liver. Tylers was not mentioned at all!! If you can only get it from a doctor how come none of the doctors that were presenting even mentioned it?? There was a really great presentation by a Dr. Stewart. He had done Hepatitis C research on chimps and found out why some chimps become chronic with hep C and others clear the virus. This example should give you an idea about the level of the seminar. How many seminars have you been invited to???

did you and your boyfriend go home after the seaminar and fuck each others holes raw and exchange every hepatitis known to man :qt:

Hehehe, as you can see from the ingredient list, even Tyler thought of adding some milk thistle, just in case you ate some poisonous mushrooms ;)

i think milk thistle is just fine, and a couple of years ago, so did everyone on the board! kinda like everyone recovered from using just clomid or nolva, but now everyone says that you don't recover unless you use hcg and others, it's amazing!

as milk thistle (liver detox supps) cleanses your liver....does this reduce the affect/absorption of the orals you are taking?....never had a proper answer to this
