Here is what I have read (don't remember the source)

Experts discovered that a diet rich in calcium raises the temperature of the body, which burns off more body fat. Volunteers who had low-calcuim diets had a lower body temperature and therefore more body fat. This is why diets that cut out milk or diary products may be unsuccessful.

Have you ever heard such a study ?

i just read over at teenbodybuildinng that the sugars in milk are actually absorbed very slowly, even slower than oatmeal? so you dont need to worry about the insulin spike u get from most sugars. is this true? the article was about bulking and he said he usually drank 4 glasses of milk before bed b/c of the casein, and the fats helped out with delayed absorption.

ddc told me NO MILK FOR CUTTING.

Everyone has their own opinion... I personally agree with it. I wouldn't touch it while cutting.

Sure, if you think so bud.

I watch my carbs and when concentrating on a low carb diet, considering milk has approx. 12 carbs/glass, it won't help me. That's just the way I feel/think, and I'll stick with that. I could be wrong, but that's fine.

milk is perfect for cutting. Good quality slow released protein, low glycemic, low enough calories to fit most diets.
