Mild case of bicep\forearm tendonitis..help please

I feel the pain in my left arm at the very top of a curl motion..I think it started yesterday when I did some weighted chin ups...

The pain is located on the top of the forearm...right where the forearm meets the upper arm....I don't think it is the bicep tendon itself...

What can I do to help this? I did some really light curls today to get some blood in there and the pain is very minimal...just annoying because I don't want it to interfere with my back workouts

Input appreciated

Are you squatting on the day before this?

bro i went through almost the exact same thing..curls were absolutlely killing me..in fact i had to lay off doing any direct bi work for a few months..i can tell you what helped me on the comeback..get yourself an elbow sleeve where it for anything and everything..second make sure to stretch the arm before during and after..third im lucky that i have an electrical stim home machine like the one they use in th chiro's office..i would use this for hours on end every nite and it helped trmendously..im not sure if you can get access to one..but maybe you want to visit a chiro...i think mine took long to heal becasue i didnt lay off deads bench squats and shoulder presses..i couldnt live with myself if i could pull lol..im still on the come back as far as bi's go but ive gotten to a weght where previously it would kil my arm and i have no pain and im not even using the sleeve..Mind you when i did return to direct bicep work i started with girlie weights and worked m way up..yep im talking about hammer curls with 15 lb dbells 40lb BB curls..you do what you have to do..good luck

Thanks for the help! I will pick up those sleeves when I get the chance...like I said it is VERY MINOR...did some hammer curls with 25's and 30's yesterday to get some blood in there and that seemed to help...

Do you have any idea what caused yours?

hammers place less stress on the forearm, if hes having the pain i think hes having, he should do hammer curls, they helped me, a trainer at my gym told me to do them when that happens and it helped me, just my two cents

I did the light hammers bro and indeed they helped! On the first set my tendon kind of "locked up"(a very weird feeling) but then on the second set it felt really good...

Thanks for the help gave everyone that posted some K if I could

i dont know what the cause was prolly just an inflammation of the tendons..it started when i got to my heaviest weight with curls..warming up stretching didnt help..then it started bothering me all the time but like a jackass i kep t doing things lol then it affected my grip so i layed off the bicep work but i still did deads which wasnt the smartest..eventually it just healed..but the sleeves did help a lot..

i just put a post up about this. bump. it hurts from weightlifting and playing hockey.
