If my child were molested, there would be no payoff high enough to get me to not pursue the bastard till he was behind bars. Just the fact that the parents accepted blood money makes me suspicious. Not to mention that his first accuser was recorded saying: "If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever...Michael's career will be over." Even the kid's mother insisted he was innocent.

Then consider the psychiatric evaluation done on him during the second trial, where it was said that he had the mental capacity of a "regressed ten year old," and that he did not fit the profile of pedophile. The guy was clearly fucked in the head, which makes it so easy to believe he's a pedo, but the two are not mutually exclusive.

Do I think he's innocent of everything? Don't know. But there's enough there to cast doubt.

On a personal note, I don't necessarily think MJ was a child molester in the sense of "pee pee touching", I just think he was a whacko and liked kids so much people took that strange and Parents pry saw it as a money making opportunity

I know my initial reaction would be anger and malice against someone who raped my child. I'd want to whoop his ass. I would be more than furious.

I readily forgive people though. I have never held a grudge, even in the worst of circumstances I have yet faced. Maybe this situation would change that but I doubt it.

My thouhts lean towards yours. His public persona made people react like, "I KNEW there was something off about that guy." Like the accusations justified their previous judgement of him.
