you should read up about the current US gov. hunt for AS and the mexican bust of QV and the likes. If I were you, I wouldn't bring anything over.

I just brought back a good bit of gear last Friday, no problems at all, I have done it many times.
Many here have great sources and I guess pay great prices for local stuff, but me I don't, so I bring mine across and then move the stuff I don't use to fund other things.
ALWAYS buy something else while ther to bring back across with you to declare at customs as a reason for being there...ALWAYS...and DO NOT DRIVE ACROSS...WALK!

Be careful walking out of pharmacies. Store clerks usually contact local authorities once you leave the store. Get in, Get out and get your ass back to the states safely.

I think to keep in mind the most important things are
1)to have an answer for every question customs asks you but the question is what do they ask you!!!!!! whats some good reasons to be down there ??
2)Walking across means you can only carry so much with you.....I don't think i would put the stuff in a backpack
3)Best place to hid it in the car?

I HAVE HEARD THAT SCARY!! I heard the reason they do that is because they work with the mexican police because the police pay them! however if tell them ur gonna be regular cusotmer they will make more money from you and not turn you in

they split the take with the cops...you have to bribe your way out of the situation, or you go to jail.
I heard you can sneak them over in burritos, but i cant be for sure..

On a serious note, the best advice I can give you is make sure you leave $50 in your sock or shoe. The mexican popo are nothing to mess around with. They will take 'All' your money. Stay inside the tourist areas, dont drink the water, and stay away from the donkey bars amigo!

went to cabo and met some girls down there. they were in a mall where there was a pharm asking for painkillers and the pharm said no. jokingly i said steriods and she pulled out five kinds and i was like i was just joking but looked at them. as i have had 30% of my pancreas removed as well as intestines and some of my stomach i cant take shit nor do i have reason to. anyway i was searched as was my aprtner in mexico and then again both of us in the states. i am convinced even though i bought nothing that she turned me in as i have a very easily spottable look and both customs searched me and i was pissed in dallas as i was already searched. they found nothing but in my mind the bitch turned me in and said this guy looked at steriods and probably bought some some place else. i would not bring back anything including cuban cigars as they get paid off to turn americans in.

I've been through customs so many times. Best time to cross the border into the U.S. around 6-8 AM when all the people is heading to work. (walking)

You have to be cool as a cucumber when the customs agent questions you. You would be better off traveling with others. One time, when they let forward a family with about 3 kids, I stepped forward with them so it looked like we were all together. Actually I was alone. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I would never do it again. Domestic sources are better than risking imprisonment -- also you'll be flagged by customs in the future, so imagine coming back on a trip from Europe 5 years from now and they ransack your bags in front of your travel companions.
If your mind is made up, and you wont heed the warnings, then this is the best advice , you can get. go do your dealings and mail the shit back to yourself. I wouldn't risk walikng into the danger zone, with all the shit going on.if you need it that bad, try homebrew!bittersuit_98 said:

I wonder if it would make the border process much easier if you brought a Mexican friend, who had relatives there. Not saying everyone has a mexican friend with relatives there but....food for thought.

I wouldn't do it now... but I used to take trips down to nuevo laredo with a girl buddy of mine. We knew some people on the other side. When we got there we would make the call and cross the border. when we got to the other side we waited until they picked us up and would go to there house. There we would count the pills or whatever we were getting, pay them and they would tape the stuff to this fat mexican bitch and she would cross the border and meet us at our car (for a small price) after we got some shopping done ( usually a $8 pair of oakleys and a cuban cigar for me...). We had to drive through one or two "check points" where they let the doggs sniff around your car and once you make it through there, drive the speed limit home and your are good to go. But that was a few years ago. not anymore...

If you are going to do it, remember to make a natural level of eye contact with any officials when interacting with them, do not exhibit any signs of lying when asked questions (grooming behaviour, repeating the question asked of you, looking to away before answering a question, etc), have your story straight way ahead of time. Have an answer for why you were there, what you did, when you did it, etc.
Also remember that the US Border patrol (separate agency from customs and homeland security) has full rights to pull you over and search your vehicle with no cause within a 20 mile (something close to 20 miles) within the the US
near a foreign border such as Mexico.

I second this statement. Another strategy is to stay a night or two on the Mexican side after buying.
Buy only anti-e's at the farmacias. No steroids. Repeat, do not buy steroids at the farmacias. Buy gear only at the graneros. Know exactly what you want before you do down, and know what the fakes look like. I seen fakes even at the most reputable graneros. Getting back across the border is your problem.
I live within a couple of hours of TJ and used to drive down couple of times a year. Now, when I'm too lazy to homebrew, many domestic sources actually beat the prices charges in Mexico, so I haven't bothered in a long time.
Get yourself a good domestic source.

My advice is to do comparo shopping during the day, buy goodies. Stay and party with friends, cross the border withe the rest of the party/sex tourist crowd@ 2-3 in am. or get a legit Rx refilled(several if poss), cross whenever u want and declare the rx(legit reason). Get some boxer briefs(u firure it out).
Graneros (vet/pet suppliers) have the best prices, stay away from farmacias within walkin dist freom border-usually high prices(if they know what thier selling)
