Mexico Report from holiday weekend (TJ)

Just got back from Ensenada, Rossarito and TJ. Went shopping all over the place just to check prices. Ensanada prices are outrageous. TJ prices are still the best at the well known Graniceria. Prices have gone up a little because of the US economy, the almighty dollar is down. The exchange rate sucks right now.
And now the realy bad news for me is that I got fu#$ed at the border. I did not have much stuff only 2 T-400, 3 Deca 300, 2 Ultragan some T-3 and a bunch of clen. It was only $300 worth of stuff but it was valued by Customs at $3,000 bullshit I thought. So no more taking my car accross unless I want Customs crawling up my ass every time. Customs

Sorry to hear that...Do you know what led to you being searched? Was it hidden? They didn't fine you $3000, did they?Did you even get a fine?

Never shop Mexico on holidays! first the exchange rate is 9 to1 that is good, but on the holidays they jack it up and the pharmacies also jack up there prices. the best time to shop is on Mondays through wednesdays. I make it a point to visit on these days (if you can get the time off from work) also make friends in the pharmacy you visit it helps.

Sorry to hear that.. So what happen to you?.. Are you being charged with smuggling? Felony or Mister?.. I've always been afraid to bring my car down there cause I don't want customs to take it apart or impound it. I hear they can take posession of your car for a long time if they catch you. So what happen to you.

details details? Is this just bs or did they just let you go like that? I can imagine if they valuated that stuff at $3,500 thay must of taken you to the office at least. What the hell happened? Fine, imprisonment or what????

For my current cycle I order from Europe/Asia and paid twice what I would have in Mexico, Simply for fear of the above situation.
