Metallica's St. Anger Review

Sinistar said:
oh im a sellout? meet me around the corner at anabolic board so i can fucking stomp your ass.

Maybe I should meet you on the chat board, since that's where 90% of your worthless posts are. If you insist on the anabolic board, though, I guess you could talk some more about your gyno, or flesh eating bacteria in gear, since those seem to be your only contributions.

Wanna keep playing, Shitistar? :)

I'm not saying the were the most intense and the best musicians. What I'm saying is this: each of them had the best combination of musicianship and intensity. Other bands either played too heavy to cover up their lack of ability, or vice versa. Dig????

To each their own. Besides, I'd much rather see people listening to old 'Tallica and Sabbath than whatever crap is being pushed by the industry nowadays.

I agree 100%. I have a hard time getting into the newer stuff. :(

fuck those sellout bastards. im going to get there cd off soulseek just so i can say i did. fuck metallica.

hehe.....I didn't mind the fact that the music got a lot softer and more mainstream.....blah blah...it was still good.

the thing that pissed me off was the whole Napster thing.....ARRRGGHHHHH...as if they aren't already zillion-aires from all the albums and touring.......

they used to be my favorite band.....I even met James and Jason....

now it just pisses me off to put $$ in their pockets.
(but I'll probably buy the album)

If you hate them so much, why get their music?

Everyone who calls them a sellout can kiss my scar tissue covered ass. What the fuck did they sell out? IMO, all the "fans" who turned away from them were the real sellouts.

Like I said, Metallica was, is, and always be my favorite band. They, and Black Sabbath, were the only two true metal bands. Everyone else either lacked intensity, or musicianship.

What did they sellout?!? Where've you been? They used to be an underground thrash/speed metal band with chops that were revolutionary at the time. They were also intense motherfuckers!
They sold out when they crossed over to mainstream to appease the masses, and become more radio friendly. All they saw were the dollar signs.
To call me a sellout for not liking them anymore is idiotic.
Sinistar and I will meet you around that corner of Anabolic Board and we'll BOTH stomp your sorry ass:mad:

You really don't listen to much metal, do you? They're both important and innovative bands, but the epitome of musicianship? Please. Much of Sabbath's stuff is beyond simplistic. And with the exception of seeing them play the old shit live, I haven't seen Metallica get intense since 1991. If you want intensity, listen to Lamb of God, if you want musicianship, listen to Opeth or Death.

Good post...I'm looking forward to listening Lamb of God, heard good shit about them.
