Mesotherapy has been used in third world countries as an alternative to liposuction and other expensive fat reduction procedures. Mesotherapy clinics have spread up everywhere in those countries, nevertheless I've heard mixed reviews about it. During my stay in Mexico for instance, mesotherapy was advertised as the cure for obesity without the rebound effect, also was advertised as an alternative for local or spot fat reduction (something like the lipo sculpture) and so on. In some cases they even claim to cure some deseases such as baldness, diabetes, and to dramatically improve inmune system for AIDS patients.
Well, just so u know, during my stay in Mexico I worked as a trial attorney for 8 years, and the list of complaints against this mesotherapic clinics was huge. In many cases, the treatment applied required the patient to stop traditional drug treatment and in many cases the results were irreverisble and lethal. YES!!! many people died.
Regarding fat loss, I can attest that many close relatives gave mesotherapy a shot, and although they did drop some weight off in no time, I believe it was mostly water and after discontinuing treatment the weight came back on and then some. They also reported that they felt a lack of energy and kinda depressed at times.
Long story short, mesotherapy is a scamm at least in my book...This is just what I've seen and off course You guys need to be smart enough to decide for yourself and make the right call.
Off course the mesotherapy clinics are still making huge profits at least in Mexico, because they are not regulated by the Secretary of Health, they pay top taxes, and unfortunately is very difficult to make them accountable because they make their customers to sign a waiver of liability, and they are not due to keep medical records (nice huh). Many mesotherapists in Mexico claim to be Doctors even though they don't have a license to practice medicine. ANd it's not like it was just bad luck for going to a bad clinic.
Good luck!
