Has anyone ever had a gold chain or jewelry taken in and melted in something else? I have these goofball chains from college that I would be embarrassed to wear now and want to get a thinner one. Since selling the chains would net me close to nothing I had the idea to have my new one made from the old ones. Anyone try this before?
