Meal frequency?

Does meal frequency effect bodyfat accumulation/loss?

For example, lets say I'm eating 2400kcal a day. Would It matter If I ate 4 600kcal meals vs. 6 400kcal meals in regaurds to fat?

How many meals are the optimal frequency?
 
I would say 6 meals a day, every 3 hours....

It doesn't really effect thing for sure, (we've had a long discussion on the board about it a while back), but the main ideology of the 6meal plan is that it will keep the metabolic rate humming along nicely.
