Me lower 10/25....powerclean..um..sorta...:)

Me lower : Exodus and Adam worked with me and worked with me on my form for power cleans but either I'm just scared or something but my form is not what it should be.. I need some advice on those if anyone has any suggestions...here's my numbers...JUST FOR YOU T3c :)

power clean - 75lbs x 1

pin suspended gm's - 155 x 3 ( huge pr...previously 95lbs x 1 )

4 inch rack deads - 95lbs x 6 x 12

roman chair situps - 3 x 12

pulldown abs - 70 x 3 x 12

hypers - 3 x 8

depth jumps - 1 x 6

shes a beast........ i love watching her progress sometimes more than i do my own. kinda like watching your child grow up......... she is so much thicker than she was just a mere 5 months ago......... shes truly amazing.

They're aren't many guys who'd be praising their women for getting thicker, lolol...

without a vid, i cant help your form, dont know what you are doing wrong, or that feels wrong. Unlless you are able to describve it?

i power clean a lot and in the past year my form has gotten so much better. right now i do it every DE lower and when time permits video tape it so i can watch.

my best suggestion is just keep doing them, PCs are a very technical lift and just requiire a lot of practice to get them right.

yeah our video converter is screwy right now...... well get vids up soon.

she has the power........ but she does a deadlift into a reverse curl. she is scared to drop under the weight and "catch it" she's doing ok for a beginer...... but your right, she needs more practice.

One thing she might want to try is to hold the barbell by curling her fingers, without closing her fist or putting her thumbs or palms on the bar, if that makes sense. This way, it is IMPOSSIBLE to pull with the arms or reverse curl the weight, you rely on your hip pop on that second pull, and you can still shrug to a degree.

lol yeah a friend of mine from home told me that was how he was taught to clean... and I didnt really get it... but then I thought about the mechanics of the lift with that grip and it made sense.

I dont know if it is 'proper' as far as OL coaching and technique is concerned... but it makes a lot of sense to me.
