ME execises

I have a quick question for you guys....Like I said before, making my comeback has been different, so much new stuff to learn, for my ME exersices, I switch every week, Ryan K. got me doing this, I do floor presses, next week 2 board, then 3 board the next, then start it over again, I use 4-5 boards as assistance on these days, I have been doing close grip inclines, or declines or dumbell presses, as assistance movemnets also..my question is, I noticed a lot of guys use the inclines, or declines as a ME exercise...do you feel its to much to include inclines or declines after ME exercise?? And should i only use these as ME?? Thanks bros! Its kinda fun making this comeback and using the new training, its like I have never done it!

i would say that it wouldnt be too much, as long as your making progress w/ your training... everyone is different.. go by what works for you..

or you could just add decline or incline into your ME exericse cyucle...
go floor press, 2 board, 3 board, decline, floor press, 2 board , 3 board , incline..repeat.

glad your having fun making a comeback

I would say it depends. What reps and after what? After or even before Boards, then yes it is too much. If your going to do floors, and stay at 3 reps and dont 1 rep max it would be ok. I would do the inclines and declines first. I personally dont do either incline or decline.

But i would do them first. But on days you do boards, i would do boards only then hit extensions or something similiar. But boards done to a max are taxing as hell. They should be done as ME work , followed my assitance. But not another big ME pressing movemnt. It may work at first but you would be over trained soon.

Does Ryan K do 100 westside for his bench?

Yes PLJAY, Ryan uses the westside training....thanks for your help guys! Also, i looked through miscellaneous article on the net, I noticed that most of the westside does some tricep stuff, but higher reps, after ME work, on DE day they seem to do the heavy tricep stuff, is this correct???

I have used inclines and declines for M.E. movements in the past. I would not do them after a M.E. movement though. I have not done them in a long time, but I much prefer the declines over inclines, just because I can do more weight with them.

In my opinion, the exercises in which I can use the most weight are the best for gains. You just have to get your body used to insane amounts of weight. I cannot use enough weight on inclines to feel like I am building up strength in my comp bench. But maybe that is just me.

I am doing 2 board/shirt press, then 3 board/shirt, then 100 lbs dumbells for a rep record, then start over. I have had some great gains lately using this plan.

yes, its Exactly correct :)

Benchmonter, you really should use the exercises that you are weakest in as much as the exercises you are strongest in. Once the exercises you are weaker in are pushed up to where they are close to your strongest you will be much stronger. Bring up your weak points and your strong ones will come up too.

About tricep stuff, you should go by feel. I've been using the 7x8 db extensions with 15 seconds rest. These are killers. I'm still going up in weight and will hopefully be able to keep them up for a couple more weeks. Some do heavy stuff after ME day, some do it after DE day. Some use a barbell one day and db's the next day. Just go by feel and see what works best for you.
