I agree 100% about it being childish.

However, does anyone else think MTS's almost daily insults directed at the rest of us that are less educated, less high society, less wealthy, etc. are childish???

Like when Lestat was giving him shit about taking pics down. MTS responds in typical fashion of saying he doesn't have the luxury of being a common folk like the rest of us living in our 8' cubical worrying about our silly rat race lives. etc. When he could have just said... " I don't want my pic on a AS board"

Seriously, isn't this type of shit that is said almost on a daily basis childish also???????? Please, let me know...I think I am living in the Twilight Zone.

Yes, I'm asking this question, because I am not as well educated, stuck in my life living day by day, and I'm jealous of MTS.(and etc, etc, etc...)

I agree w/ you, but in the grand scheme of things does it really matter enough to get uspet about it, awittynugganame?

I know where you are coming from, but you aren't going to change Matt.

You're a good bro, awittynugganame......I've always agree with you.

I'm not angry. I always wondered why most people don't get pissed. (besides the fact they will be told they are less educated, jealous, etc)

I was just asking others opinions.

I understand to be successful you must be confident. But, from my perspective I see alot of insults.

I actually agree with MTS on alot of things...The way to plan your life instead of just getting up everyday and go to work. etc etc.

I Honestly believe MTS is a smart, charismatic, winner in life....But, I think that since he is all of these things....He should not have to talk down to the common folk.

Maybe I am wrong...I just wondered what anyone else thought.

I think he's a douchebag

I saw this thread, and I thought - did I lock something? Did I edit something? Oh no, better click on it and see what the deal is. Then I saw 80 plus replies.

I was like DAMN! What have we here? What did I do? So I looked at who made it: "njjuice".

My first thought was "Who?" My second thought was "who"? No idea who this cat is. Never even got a PM from him. How long has he been here? Is he an alter?

Only meaning I could get from the screen name "njjuice" is of a short greasy guy who probably has thick-with-fat-and-muscle Tyrannosaurus Rex arms that he shaves regularly. Except I wouldn't notice him in NJ unless he stood on a milk crate.

But that wouldn't be right to say all that - I don't know the guy - never seen him, never talked to him, never even HEARD OF him until now. So I don't want to pre-judge him.

I read on. Why? I simply had to click it. I usually avoid this stuff. My philosophy on the opinions of others is:

Abraham Lincoln said:
"If I were to try to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for any other business."

So I find myself reading this thing, worth a few laughs, thanks :). What can I say?

I love - I mean love - the comments about my hair. I don't think I took a hair care utensil out all weekend. I will tell you that I am glad I have all my hair, and at 3:11 AM when the beers have been flowing for a while - well, it's gonna look a little crazy. I suppose in NJ this would be a problem - my hair isn't black, it isn't greased up, I don't wear any gold unless it has diamonds in it, well, you see why "njjuice" might be perplexed.

It should re-assure you, though, njjuice, that if you come to the next ATL meetup, you can get any hair care products you need from a cab driver. You might even be able to get some career advice.

:rose:

Now, apparently, there were also some style comments made. I didn't see them at first...though, because njjuice, courageous as he is, decided to edit it. Before you get that career advice from a cabbie, consider this:

When you go in for high school graduation in a year or two, the principal, valedictorian, or "moron du jour" who gives the commencement speech will probably talk about the courage of your convictions. Have it!

Oh...wait...you already graduated high school? My bad.

So that leaves us with "sense of style". How to address this? Do I go the route I went with Brian and post up that the green shirt is custom made for me by the best known men's clothing store in the US? Tell you that it was a custom-selected material that YOU can't buy? Nah, that would be snobbish. And that's not me. You might think it is, but I just met 10 people who KNOW me, and those who know me wouldn't say that. I've met about 15 people off of here come to think of it.

Anyone ever meet you? Or talk about it?

So I won't go there. I just - well, I don't expect you to understand. I could accept a little bit of criticism on the pants, because they look like just plain khakis. Rest assured, they were likewise custom cut for me, and fit just perfectly. (If I got them off the rack, the beers might have fit better, that spillage of beers was a tragic consequence for all except my dry cleaner).

Could you see my shoes in the pic? I don't remember. For a better look, go here:
http://www.paulstuart.com/item_template.cfm?ItemId=1248

So really what we have here is

(1) hair envy. Mine moves.
(2) Style critiques...this despite the fact that I routinely spill beers all over the types of clothing that "njjuice" doesn't even know exists.
(3) Someone I've never heard of wants to be a critic.

Did I get all that? I hope so, because I am done here.

Honestly, I think he can be a bit arrogant at times and needs to tone it down a bit. I do, however, think I could have a very good one on one conversation with him about almost anything. Seems like the type that could play devil's advocate quite well, which makes for great conversations when you're dealing with someone that can see both sides of an arguement and work either one.

Simple don't get upset because it's the internet and if someone actually does bother you the ignore function works quite well.

Cheers,
