meaning that neo made the choice that will change the matrix and the future.

People who don't understand the plot are the ones who hate it. I'm appalled that so many "intellectuals" I know disliked it and missed out on much of the complexities hidden in the plot. The movies definitely require close attention to detail and a certain willing suspension of disbelief.

Then again the guy across the aisle from me who yelled and clapped during every scene sure seemed to love the movie.
