Sorry to hear that my question has offended you. Lots of people ask stupid ass questions. Did you get offended with the how much people poop thread the other day? I know you know excessive amounts of info, but maybe that actually helped some newbies in here. And as to that, sure it might say whats on the bottle, but you never get all of it and it might be short expecially from a UG lab like X said. But thanks for your reply.

Use a triple integral over the cylindrical region make sure you use cylindrical coordinates.

For the bottom of the vial where its no longer cylindrical you will need to use an approximation...I'd go with a 4 or 5 point guass-legendre quadrature as you will obtain a value within 0.001% of the actual value.

use superposition and add the two values, and divide by 10.

also, a lot of people seem to draw out a more than 1cc at a time, usually like 1.1cc because the needle and barrell hold a little bit of juice also, pull it on down and read from a lower line on the syringe barrell, and read to the bottom of the meniscus, or the lower part of the curve

That's why most ug's have a rep for "shorting" people. When you pull from an ampoule, you can pull every last bit of oil out. When using a multidose vial, people who pull out 1ml usually pull out 1.1ml or so because of the small amount in the needle barrell. 9 injections like that and you have used 9.9ml...so it looks like you only got 9ml. I used to have that problem too until I started watching more closely how much I pulled out and realized I bitched at my source for nothing. Fortunately he forgave me.

I Also later on asked what does 1cc read on the pin and if it was the same as 1 mil again i recieved a prompt courtious reply!

Since there is approx .1mL still left in the needle and barrel then why not pullout a little BA water then inject again with that? No longer have to use 1.1mL, you can get a straight 1mL. Sure its an extra injection but a lot of guys on here seem to enjoy the pain and besides saves money (well I have BA water sitting around).

Actually you are all wrong, if the bottle reads 250mg/10mL, then you would need to draw all 10mL in order to obtain your 250mgs.

I believe you meant the bottle reads 2500mg/10mL (250mg/1mL, in a 10mL solution), that would mean a 1mL draw to obtain your 250mgs.

Here's a simple formula:

Divide the dose you want(250mg) by the dose that's available(2500mg) then multiply that by the volume(10mL) and you get the amount you need = 1mL

I'm sorry to hear you're so upset, but at least it wasn't a product of my stupidity.

I understand we were all newbies at one time, but that doesn't forgive us for not understanding something that base. It is still my contention that if you are holding something in your hand and you don't know what it is or how to use it, you shouldn't be thinking about putting it in your body.
