Now... we all know that materialistic bitches exist... as do men of hte same... however, I believe it is more prevelant in women... since the term "goldbricker" applies better... (if a man wants an easy pass at life they are usually called Lazy).

But what about a woman that doesn't want you for "MONEY"... what about a woman that wants their "man" to dress like they have money? Always leaving the house in the best clothes... never going outside looking like shit.. (unless to the gym or a walk in the park)... and by shit I mean t-shirt and shorts or jeans.

A woman that wants you to have a Vouge or GQ style of fashion... all the time, and dress like that... and what if you ARE NOT that type of person???

Change? Are you wrong? Are they?

is the love for a woman worth changing this aspect, even if it is against the fiber of the other??? Can the woman or man even change this aspect of who they are?

Will the woman resent the fact that the man isn't Mr.GQ???

I think... for my small role in life... that a person has to be true to themself... ask themselves if outterly possessions make the person... if being socially correct in protocol is what matters in your life, then, perhaps your life is more shallow than you let on?

A person must be true to who they are... for better or worse... and never forget where they come from.

There's a shoe for every foot. If a bitch is materialistic, then maybe the right guy for her is some dude who's equally materialistic or just someone who likes wearing nice stuff and buying nice stuff for others.

It's just odd seeing a couple consisting of one being preppy and the other, a compulsive dress down. I dress very casual/preppy being that I work at A&F but my girl wears very trendy tight fitting chic clothes.

Does it bother me? Nah, I think she's hot but I wonder if it's "right."

I am by no means a Mr. GQ... I have some decent clothes that are dressy that I wear when I work as an attorney... but nothing like Prada suits and the such.

I'm just asking, I suppose... if two people love each other if that should get in the way... and if it does... and one side or the other will not compromise, for whatever reason... is that something that a relationship should not workout over???

so many times you hear about relationships falling apart because the guy was a dick, or the girl was a bitch... but if EVERYTHING else clicks... and it is simply a matter of not being the model for FHM ... or not wanting to be that "guy"... is that something a relationship should hindge upon??

I say nay... we are who we are... we must be true to ourselves... the likes of a material nature should not destroy or make a relationship... for those relatoinships... never had it to begin with..

I have read some of your posts in the past (was you on triedia?). There do highlight some interesting points (issues). However differentiation by inter-genderism will always exist. I too have a problem with certain traits of women, and do not oppose your B.I.T.C.H.E.S entirely. All relationships need to be built on a good foundation. If there's a bad foundation the building will crumble. I think a relationship is more that just aesthetics, but attraction is usually the first thing that brings 2 people together. I must say, though, that it is possible to find a partner who looks good and expects you to look good, too, but not when it overrides other aspects of the relationship...such as trying to change your style and tastes and trying to mold a new you or if it makes you feel uncomfortable. It won't work if your values are compromised.

I don't think it's an issue of being right or wrong, it's more about what you feel is right for you and what you can live with for the rest of your life if you plan to be with your partner for a long time. For me, I have a hubby with unusual habits and tastes, but I can live with all his "warts"... like he can live with mine.

I said the same thing in previous posts.. .it is just that many people can't get past the hostility that was present to see what I was trying to say or to read the depth of the statement... I don't think my messages were ever as plain as "all women are bitches" -- although I may have said that.

Scream -- I've posted on Tridea, although not a whole lot. It's true that one should just find someone that is compatable with themselves... however, it is sometimes difficult and there are usually differences that exist... I am analyzing some common differences, nothing more.

not me grasshopper. I wear the same thing everyday. I have about four 6xl navy blue pocket t shirts i got from a big/tall mens clothing store, 1 black 5xl, and about 7 pairs of jeans. I have no sense of style whatsoever. Clothes are just accessories, like cars. Who the fuck are abercormbie & fitch? I'd never heard of them until 2 months ago.

I personbally think both male and female go through this type phase in life....How many times have we seen men on this board ask what type watch we wear, type car we drive, type house, stereo...how many, how much...etc. As we age, we tend to realize once we get past worldly goods, we are left with only ourselves, and through this we can see that friends and family are placed above wealth and materialistic items we have aquired....
