The guy is strong as hell! I like the fact that he shows you don't have to carry alot of BF to be a strongman. He is ripped as all get out and strong as an Ox!

True but he's still a bit inconsistant. He only beat Mariusz by two points this last year to take his title. Mariusz will come back with a vengence this year!

I thought he wasn't allowed to compete for a year becasue of a "test" that he failed
 
vasyl beat him once in a wsm that was sooo unconventional it was criticized by almost every athlete, the events were BS and alot were unsafe, mariusz beats vasyl at least 8 times before vasyl will beat him....i dont know for sure but i have the feeling that this may even be the first big event where he has placed higher

the wsm this year was structured to not favor mariusz, the odds were stacked against him, they didnt want him to win and they were going to do that by any means necessary, then they spring a "random" drug test where he gets selected and kicked out...what hypocrisy

Met him in my gym here in the US. One of the nicest guys out there. Has some good class.

He is pretty cool, I meet him at the Olympia last year. The guy loves competition, he wouldn't let me leave the stage where he had a log lifting contest. He just keep putting on more wieght and wanting me to lift it next.
 
He is going to be a dangerous man. I mean even more dangerous then now, the man can jump rope at 290 better than most people could ever dream of, has not even reached peak muscle maturity (30-37 is it?) and could even come into the competitions heavier if he wanted to.

I was flipping channels last night and settled in on a Strongman contest on ESPN2.

Mariusz Pudzianowski ... Wow!

He was scary strong! And really looked the role.
 
Damn Mariusz the Polish Hammer looks like a fucking BB..and is the strongest man alive. WOW! Polish Genetics :)
 
This is the first i've heard of the failed test. wtf?

I got to meet him this past sunday at the Arnold. He's up 30lbs to 320, he finished 5th in the contest. Got a pic with him that I posted over in C&C.

Here is some stats on him from the Met-Rx website.



Mariusz works on a basic 8 day split and changes his training roughly every 12 weeks to work on his weaknesses. Day 8 involves plenty of rest, stretching and eating big! He incorporates plenty of event training including:

Log Lifts
Incline log press
Stones Training
Truck pull/loading
Upright rows
Yoke Race

MAXIMUM LIFTS IN THE GYM:
• BENCH PRESS: 600lbs
• SQUAT: 920lbs
• DEADLIFT: 880lbs
• BARBELL CURLS: 305lbs x 5
• Deadlifted 700lbs for 10 reps, 800lbs for 4
• Front Squat 600lbs x 3 reps
• Behind Neck Jerk – 550lbs
• Seated press – 415lbs
