Mariusz Pudzianowski training?

It is insanely high volume and frequency.....Off the top of my head, he does 2 workouts a day, one is events and one in the weightroom. The weightroom stuff was Back squats one day, deadlifts the next day, front squats the next day....in addition to the main lifts, which he pushes HEAVY and hard, he does lots (probably too much as it is a waste of time, imo) isolation fluff.....his workouts are marathon sessions that are non-stop, and word is from guys who have trained with him is that his work capacity and recovery ability are totally out of this world. They say you can train hard or you can train long, but not both, well Mariusz CRUSHES that saying.

His website was www.pudzian.pl I think it is still up, I'll check it after I post, he had a sample routine on there......if ya wanna look like Mariusz, or even if you want to get bigger/stronger/more muscular, my advice is to NOT train like him, if you're just curious or in need of inspiration, have fun with it.

Yep, the link is good, you might have to brush up on your Polish though, lol....there used to be an ENglish version, but I don't see the option now.

Thanks for the info, yea, I need to brush up on my polish..couldnt understand a damn thing...

yes I would like to look like him, just a 250lb version of him, not the 300lb monster. he is truly an inspiration in the fact that he looks great, and his performance is second to none. I would like to learn more on his training principles.

bump for more info

just a 250lb mariusz-a-like? come on, don't set your sights too low. 250 with his bodyfat would be way, way bigger than 99.95% people on this website.

well im 255 right now, with 18% bf at 6ft, so my goal is to get 250lbs at 10%. at one point I was 275lbs at about 18% a few months ago, but it was just too heavy, i had to drop down.

Thanks for the cool vid

i think a lot of people have misconceptions because of the internet...

first time i ever met a guy that was around 175lbs, 6-7% bf who backsquats 220kg x 2, i shat my pants. this guy was fuckin jacked and strong as a bull. if you are 250lbs and 10%, congrats.

I would love to be around 245-250 with 10% bf. Right now im 270 with probably 25% bf. got a lot of work to do.

for anyone who watches that vid, go to 2 mins 50 seconds. what the hell lift is that?

yea I was going to ask that myself, maybe its just a warm up for the GM, not full ROM?? or maybe thats just how he does it...

It's a GM....form on GMs will vary depending on when and why you do them....Mariusz's form on most things in that vid looks pretty explosive and 'loose'.

I remember when that vid was posted on Iron Godz, it is at a gym in Pittsburgh, PA when Mariusz was in town for an appearance.....the 2 guys training with him are Steve MacDonald (Won Heavyweight pro nationals this year) and Steve Kirit (won the same contest 2 or maybe 3?? times in the past). They said that his training was every bit as intense as advertised, long AND hard.

Nice, I would like to see more vids of him

There's no real set way to do GMs. So long as it's hitting the posterior chain it's all good.

Mariusz is mighty awesome.

lol... The index at elitefts lists 357 types of GMs, tho that includes using different types of bars. I guess the ones Mariusz are doing would be classified as Rounded (as opposed to Arched) back, Straight (not Bent) knee good mornings with a narrow (instead of med. or wide) stance as his feet appear to be just inside his shoulders.

Mariusz is my favourite Strongman haha
Everytime I watch those comps, I am always waiting to see Mariusz crush 'em
