Marine bootcamp - Every cycle to waste?

SEAL

New member
I just enlisted in the Marines, I'm going to be off to boot camp
this summer at Parris Island. From what I've read on average recruits lose an upwards of 30lbs while there, due to poor nutritional value of the food, and the amount of food.

Do you think I'm going to be worse off from where I was before I started AAS? Also, I had an upcoming cycle planned, would that also
just be a waste of money?

not just poor nutrition but also lack of sleep. you will lose a lot of muscle and fast. but your endurance and red muscle fibers will be greatly improved.

i wouldn't run a cycle.. you want to start swimming, running, and doing a lot of reps of pushups/pullups. and get used to waking up very early and not getting good sleep.

Yup way ahead of ya;) Started last week, run almost every day, swim 3 days a week, pushups+pullups+dips throughout the day. Soon i'm going to start running at the beach, then start throwing on a weight vest.

Just hate to lose everything I've worked for at bootcamp. I hear it's easy to put back on but it's still ashame.

I guess i'll get everything I listed in OP before i leave, so i'll have it when i get back and take it with me to where ever I get stationed.

^^^ yes save it for later. there is a time to bulk and there is a time to work on your endurance.

you don't want to go into boot camp holding a ton of muscle and look like a fool when you can't keep up with the skinny dudes lol.

haha thanks for the advice man, i'll definately be using it.

Yeh man wait till you get to your unit, you will be able to eat like a king and have access to some of the best gyms in the world

I dare say youve never been in the military.

To the op. You will likely lose alot bc of the cal to activity ratio. along with the sleep dep. My reccomondation is to think of it as a kick ass cut cycle for free lol... when your out of basic and such you will have a great base to build. Keep your cardio and everything up tho as you bulk... big muscles dont stop a 7.62 so keep in shape!!! A tip you will likely be given mres eat everything in them down to the tabasco and skittles your body will need it. In the chow line get all the food you can and smash it before they can kick you out of the mess hall. I also wouldnt touch aas untill your more solidified in your unit. Your a cherry untill youve done some time and become one of the guys. If you cycle as a cherry and someone even thinks your juicing your in for a world of shit.

During basic when you eat chow hall eat as much as possible. I found myself eating lots of peanut butter. They will rush you to eat and everything else. Just eat as much as you can when you do eat bc your ass will burn off everything you eat I promise you that. Although i did gain 17 pounds lol!!!

I have a friend that went to the marines. Left home at 215 @ 12% bf came home at 190 7% and looked bigger than when he left. How he do it? Dbol I won't give out ratios but I'll tell u gist of what we did. Got some raws and kid toothpaste ( the kind u can swallow) mixed a certain ration of powder to toothpaste. Worked it out so that a dime size drop would yield 20mg my boy brushed his teeth 2 x a day and while everyone was tired and dropping weight he was getting swole.

Not advising anyone to do this just sharing a story. Sure some of you will call bs. Not enough food too much activity blah blah blah. True story a lot of guys in the military juice. A lot of ppl in different situations where one would think I there's no way someone could b doing it in there are doing it in there I got an other story about some guys juicing in prison. Ppl are very creative.

Problem is, I'll have no time to even bulk after boot, because 10 days later I go to basic infanntry training, then immediately after that i'm off to Recon training.

But to the poster above me, if you legitimately did that please PM me more info, I'd really help. because I don't wan't to be a weak beanpole by the time I get to recon training, I need to best keep everything I have and be as ready as Ican when the time comes.

lots of pb is a good tip

you can bulk when you have the chance.. no biggy

just get in freaky endurance shape now.. i mean you signed up so you should know what you need.. bulk is not on the top of that list now

intervals/tabata/swim/run/ /burpees/bodyweight stuff/ weighted vest stuff/ that should be your focus

You dont need aas to get through Recon. I was a 18 yr old kid when I went through RIP or Ranger indoctrine program you will never , never, never I repeat never be in a physical state that will not break. Thats the point. it doesnt matter if you can do 50 push ups or 500 they will push you past your physical/mental boundries to see what you do next. The tasks are almost always impossible tasks, meant to push you past your limits. The key is somthing aas cannot give you , and thats the pure want to be apart of the unit, no matter what pain you must endour to get there.... the never quit mentality ios what they want. And your a complete moron if you think youll be able to do a cycle in the midst of the selection program. You dont have freedon , you dont have rights, and you will not always have the ability to safely cycle. On top of that you are risking alllll that you are working for. I suggest you find the intestinal fortitude to push through and make the cut on your pure ability and desire to be Recon. Being selected for an elite unit is nothing to take lightly and if you cant make it on that alone tells me you wouldnt do the unit any good on objective. Do not cycle untill you are solid in your unit with some deployments under your belt...trust me.

^ Great post! Major Props Ranger!

A lot of the weight new recruit lose has to do with the fact the cast majority of Americans are overweight and could stand to lose weight. July daughter recently went through basic. She lost weight but came out leaner and with a great base to build upon.

Really good post m8. I appreciate it, i'm inspired. I won't be running anymore AAS. Just natty stuff and training my ass off. Cardio is starting to get back in shape, calestenics numbers are going up, can't wait to be an endurance animal lol. Just running Bridge currently, proboly going to throw in Krill TS, DAA, and need2slin to give a lil extra push in the right direction. Getting back in shape right now is harder than it has ever been in my life, i used to have spectacular endurance and cardio. but the amount of time i ran
shit, and all the stuff i cycled, jacked my BP up, heart rate, lowered my good cholosterol a shit ton, put my thyroid outta wack too. Even now I still don't feel all the great and
normal, it's a pain in the ass, but I'm getting there.

Im glad your taking my advice. There are a few things I can help you with to "prepare" you. If you do not own a rucksack with frame either go to the surplus store and buy one or ask your recruiter to barrow one. Start out with 50 lbs not including water and go for 2 mile jogs. Fill it with 60-80lbs and go for a march 6+ miles. Do both of these while wearing combat boots... trust me this makes a difference. Learn to dominate the following exercises : pull ups, push ups, mountain climbers (esp this one), sit ups, flutter kicks, running, and weighted lunges. Last but not least SWIM, go to a big pool and swim your ass off. You will likely have to do it in full dress with boots and an lbe, but the better you are in the water the better your chances are, this phase eliminates alot of people is specialized units. If you master these you will be as physically ready as you will ever be. The rest is allllllll mental.
