Marijuana and training

Personally, I do not smoke pot, but I have nothing against people who do. Some of my friends do and I have in the past. But I wonder if there has been any studies to show the effects of weed on weight training and muscular develpment. Some positive side effects I can see from it's use is an increased appetite (Make sure you eat the right things) and the ability to relax, and for me at least fall asleep. What kind of adverse side effects could come about from using it while weight training? What are some of your personal experiences with it?
 
I hate to be one of those assholes that says "do a search" but this time I gots to be that asshole. This subject has been beaten to death 3 times over on the anabolic board and all you will get here anyway is guys saying "Marijewana will kill you and turn you gay and make you go to hell!" or guys claiming that they add creatine to their blunts and they need the weed to eat and sleep and walk and talk and it's great and bullshit like that.

Let's keep the drugs off the training board.
 
This is about training. . .not drugs!!! But to answer your question. . .no pot smoker will ever make impressive gains!!! How can something with carcinogens ever help performance? It won't!!
 
it doesn't do anything at all. just dont do it on training days. some people i've talked to even claim it helps every once in a while if you're really stressed before working out.

Arnold smoked pot and I'd say he made some pretty impressive gains.
 
Bro, I smoke trees all the time usually atleast 3-4 blunts a day. And for me it's great when Im just not hungry I smoke and there you go I can eat. If I hit a bowl before I lift it's like Im zoned out and I'll go for fuckin hours. And there shore as hell aint nothing like a blunt of some Purple Haze after a grueling workout.Now it does make me a little lazy at time so i try not to smoke till I workout but it dosnt always workout that way. Some people smoke and just cant do shit but for me I love weed and I go to work, lift 5 days a week and do Cardio 1-2 time every day of the week. As for affecting gains I dont think so I mean Im no pro Im 511 183lbs and I havnt been jucing that long.But since the summers come around I've been smoking alot and I've still managed to get my bench up from 225 to 265 and my weight up almost 20 lbs. So I say smoke that shit up.
 
I occasionaly blaze up before a good cardio session, Im like a Kenyan on a Marathon run after smoking a little and then going running, it puts me in the zone err something, I just kep going. Maybe Im concentrating more on proper technique/movement. Dont know if it hinders metabo or what tho?
 
Fact: You're 8 times more likely to get lung cancer smoking weed b/c there's no filter, and smoking one is like smoking multiple cigaretts. In high school I could always tell who did pot. They were less inhibitive and were therefore real jerks. Shit messes with your mind! Another thing I've noticed is it makes you more lazy. When you smoke, your arteries become restricted, your blood also contains more red blood cells because of less oxygen which makes the blood thicker in already restricted veins. Don't sound good do it?:confused:

If you try a search, search on the Anabolic board. There have been many lengthy discussions about it there. Both pros and cons.

I get toked up about once a month. I go for the nice Sativa that will expand my mind and just float for an evening. I usually feel a 1000% better physically after my buzz wears off. :)
